Knights Inn & Suites South Sioux City

we did not stay there because their pool wasn't fuctional..even though it was advertised as having an outdoor pool. With a non refundable room we were out the money. I am not very happy at all.

Room 227 has bed bugs. Stay somewhere else. They spread and are difficult to exterminate.

When I arrived at the hotel, the staff was difficult to understand and didn't go over anything about why I was being charged another $50, he just kept saying it wasn't getting charged to my card. I asked then why did you swipe my card if it's not going on the card and how long will it take to get refunded? No response. I also asked when or where the breakfast was, no directions to where it was going to be served but I did get told it was from 630-930. The pool wasn't filled due to repairs that weren't getting done, and when I got into bed that night, there was cigarette burns in the fitted sheet. The air conditioner wasn't blowing out cool air either.

My only complaint was a toilet that had low water pressure. It had to be flushed more than once after a use. This was more of an aggravation than anything, but plumbing is one of those things that should be flawless. The place was clean and the desk man was courteous. The room was good, aside from the above. It came equipped with the refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot in the room. The outdoor pool was not yet filled.

Pretty standard hotel. Wasn't expecting anything over the top. Nice people, good hotel for the money.

close to downtown and area I needed to be. train tracks close but didn't blow whistle at night like it did in the past.

I have stayed at this motel several times. It is an older facility, so expect older carpet, TV's, bedspread and furniture. But, if you're looking for a place to lay your head and get some sleep, it can give you that.

the room has walls cracking and water stained.The bathroom door had mold on it.Very little hot water.The room had a mildew smell to itand there were no towels in the room apon arrival.

The hotel was advertised with a hot breakfast (even on the hotel info paper in the room), but only cold cereal and a muffin available. The sink drain was backed up, which would be obvious to the cleaning staff when they would clean the sink; so poor attention to basic details.

I'm sure the couple that owns this hotel are usually nice, but I wasn't that impressed with their hospitality over the phone. They were lovely when I got there in person though. Room is a little scary. there were some holes in my door that were stuffed with a napkin and covered with a sign. The shower stall (no bathtub) was filthy with lots of scum on the door and mold in the corners. Yikes on the big wall of mirrors too. The location is convenient right off of Hwy 75, but I'm thinking this is the "other side of the tracks" for S Sioux City. I was a little concerned about my car in the parking lot overnight, but nothing happened thank god.
