Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg

Two of My sons have autism, one of which has extreme anxiety and one of which is more profound and needs more support but both really wanted to try the surfing where Dylan was stationed at the time and Dylan was extremely patient and helped each kid learn how to do it based on different accommodations that I recommended and strategies for teaching different things and what to look for like my more profoundly autistic son has impulse control issues and will just try to do something without hearing the instructions first and so he was able to help guide him through that and help him be successful before trying it and he did well. I was incredibly impressed with how Dylan was so receptive to listening to the different things that I had suggested for my kids and he implemented them without hesitation and did so cheerfully and patiently. Our time at Great Wolf Lodge has been absolutely phenomenal and it is in large part because of Dylan and other staff who are acting like. He is incredibly patient and understanding and always have a smile on their face helping everyone with anything they need. Seriously so impressed with Dylan. But it is not just Dylan, we also had an incredible experience when we did our check-in where our room ended up being in a location that would have been very overstimulating for our boys and again without hesitation the managers on site by happily and eagerly working with us to find a more suitable room for our family. And we're able to book us with two rooms that were a better fit and we're in a quieter Hall... Where there would be less stimulation and less temptation for my boys. It wasn't just that they were willing to help us switch rooms is that they thought above and beyond about all the different sensory needs of each of our kids and thought about even the anxiety for one of them and how being on a certain floor with some of the characters might be anxiety driven. I was just incredibly impressed with how hard they were working and how quickly they worked to find a different room situation for us and to make it work for us. One thing that I have loved about Great Wolf Lodge is that they also have a sensory guide that we were able to review before coming, so we knew exactly what to anticipate on different rides with the different sensory components with taste, touch, smell, sound, sight. Each ride had a rating. Additionally, they have neurodivergent bands so that our kids could have that on them so people knew to be extra patient but it seems like everyone is extra patient regardless. Additionally, we made sure to have each person in our party have the same chips on their wristbands which they did proactively which is important because if either of our boys were to elope or run off, which fortunately they haven't, they would be able to scan the bands and figure out exactly where the boys belong. I have been very impressed with everything when it comes to Great Wolf Lodge from the different staff with checking in to everyone working around the water park and everyone just around the facility in general. I have never been to an establishment where every single employee seems to be in a good mood and wanting to help anyone with anything they need. It really has been remarkable. 10 out of 10. Will definitely come again.

Grant went above and beyond. I didn't know the birthday package didn't deliver the pizza and cake to your room. He then proceeded to go get the cake and pizza for me So I didn't have to drag my kids back out. I really appreciate his kindness

We have had excellent response to all of our issues (vacationing with littles 4 and under is crazy sometimes) from our early morning SOS for clean linens, to my grandson locking us out of the bathroom the service we’ve recieved from the virtual assistant has been top notch! Kudos for excellent customer service it is becoming rare these days!!

The Darrell that had our cabanas this afternoon, the ladies that checked us in, and the doorman for the pool went so far above and beyond. Absolutely impressed us and we are a seasoned pack at Concord. The level of enthusiasm and engagement here is tangible

Around 4:00 PM on 4/25, 4 teenage girls were in the adults-only hot tub area, speaking loudly on their phones and using inappropriate language. I had to locate an employee to have them removed, as this space is designated for guests 21 and over. It would be helpful to have a staff member consistently monitoring this area, or to add more visible signage clearly stating “21+ only” to reinforce the policy.

This GWL location is awesome. Great room, amazing amenities, and great service! The reason for my 3/5 rating that they do nothing about this Marijuana situation, and it's bad. I get out of the car in the parking lot and people are hotboxing in the car next to me. I'm getting a contact high by the time I reach the door. I smell pot walking down the hall to my room. I sit on the balcony to enjoy the evening and the pot stench is thick in the air the entire time. I don't know what this is about, but GWL really needs to police this. It's disgusting, I can't even let my kids outside, and this is a place for families. I'm honestly really angry that the business allows this to take place on their grounds. They could curb it if they wanted to. Not sure if we'll be back, which is a real shame.

This was my first time at Great Wolf Lodge and it was truly amazing! My granddaughter had a wonderful time and the staff members were awesome!

Yes. Wonderful server. Excellent customer service. Friendly. Polite. Attentive.

Celebrating granddaughter’s 5th birthday during spring break. Great fun atmosphere

We stayed here on our family spring break road trip, booking a premium Grizzly Bear Suite. It was quite a disappointment. The room we stayed in looked nothing like the photos on the website. The linens were stained and worn with no quilts or coverlets as pictured on the website. The flooring was all LVP that was warped, worn and appeared water damaged. The suite was spacious but dark and cold. The sofa was stained and had clearly seen some things. I was glad we brought our own bedding for the pull out bed. When we turned on the heat it was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep, but at least it drowned out the very loud noise of the guests above us. The shower, tub, bathroom floors and even the ceilings appeared to show signs of water damaged. Overall it just felt cheap, run down and unclean. Definitely not the premium suite we thought we’d booked! The walk to our room was very long and the dark hallways smelled like secondhand smoke/skunk. I can’t comment on the water park as our kids took one look at the crowds and decided it wasn’t for them. That was fine by me and we enjoyed the historical attractions in the area. It was a good enough place with enough space for our family but definitely don’t expect it to look like the advertised photos.
