The Carroll Villa Hotel

We just returned from our annual summer visit atCarroll Villa. We have been visiting with friends for the past 13 years and sometimes additional visits as a couple in the spring and fall. Great hotel in a great location to enjoy all that Cape May has to offer. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

As a last minute trip, luckily the Carroll Villa came through as a recommendation from a friend. The room was good as the only gripes were that there was no chair or alternative seating to the bed and the shower didn’t get quite hot enough but was fine. Other than that, the access to the beach and vouchers to breakfast were very generous. Also you can’t beat the location on Jackson street. Also the staff were awesome and special shoutout to Pam for driving us back to our car via cart!

We’ve been staying at the Carroll Villa for the last few years, and we really like this hotel. The staff are kind and personable, and the location is excellent. The Mad Batter is attached to the hotel, so it is extremely convenient for our meals. Food is very good. Rooms are very comfortable and modern, although getting to upper floor is walking many stairs, no elevator. The beach is right down the street, and you can see the ocean from some of the rooms. I highly recommend the Carroll Villa.

A spur-of-the-moment decision to revisit Cape May after a long void and so glad we did. The Carroll Villa was faultless for us: close to the beach, shopping, restaurants. Breakfasts at their Mad Batter restaurant are delicious, plentiful, and the $30 voucher covered the bill. Staff was accommodating to pack up our breakfast (complete with ice) so we could hit the road home early. A street away, the Kulkowitz family also operate the Crickett Club (a 30% discount is offered to guests of the hotel), which is dining at the highest level and where we celebrated a significant wedding anniversary. Our king room on the third floor was beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, and clean. We were pleased with the wood composite floors and renovated bathroom. Yes, climbing three flight of stairs was a bit of trade-off for the quietness of the location, and guests should be up to the task of maneuvering with luggage. Amenities include parking at the municipal lot which is a ten-minute walk (or ask for golf cart transport), beach towels and tags, as well as umbrellas and chairs from Steger Beach Services. So to sum it up…PERFECT. We hope to return for The Cape May Victorian Christmas from Thanksgiving to New Years. The whole town must be absolutely stunning.

We have been staying here for years and the staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean, spacious and charming. We also love grabbing breakfast at the Mad Batter (esp the Belgian waffle!). I highly recommend it!

Another great stay. Great room, 1/2 block from the beach, beach tags, chairs, umbrella (all included), need I say more? Free parking 3 blocks away. Great breakfasts and 30% off entrees. This place feels like it's somewhere between a hotel and a B&B and it has the best of both.

We always enjoy ourselves at the Carroll Villa Hotel. On one of the grandest streets in all of Cape May, Jackson Street, the Carroll Villa brings you back decades with its rustic charm, extremely pleasant personel, discounts on breakfasts and dinners, free umbrellas and chairs and towels for the beach, and various types of music at the bar. It's our go to place in Cape May. You're near many other rsstaurants and a shopping mall that speaks volumes. Good for you, Caroll Villa. Keep it going!!!!

The Carroll Villa hotel is a gem located half a block from the beach. We spent July 4 weekend there last year and had such a great time, we returned this year! Beach tags and towels are provided, as well as beach chairs and an umbrella that the beach attendant will set up for you. Our room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. And our room had a view of the beach. If you book directly with the hotel, your room comes with a voucher towards breakfast in the hotels restaurant The Mad Batter. A great deal!! The hotel is ideally situated - lots of good restaurants within walking distance and an easy walk to downtown shopping. I definitely recommend the Carroll Villa hotel!!

The Carroll Villa Hotel was absolutely wonderful for our family's stay in Cape May. The location was perfect as it was a quick walk to anything you could want and the staff could not have been better not only at the hotel, but also the restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast one of the mornings at The Mad Batter, which was fantastic. The addition of parking and beach tags were also a nice perk. We will definitely consider it as our first option on any future stays.

The CV continues to be my go to hotel in Cape May. Upon arrival, the friendly front desk staff (shout out to Linda!) informed me that I was upgraded. They even let me know the porch room was open! Between the extremely comfortable room, the amenities included (free parking, beach tags, umbrella and chair rental and mad batter coupons) and the accommodating staff, the CV hotel continues to impress.
