The Carroll Villa Hotel

The location was very close to shops, restaurants and the ocean 1/2 block away. Staff was very helpful. The room decor was very nice and well maintained. We also had a delicious breakfast at the Mad Batter restaurant on the first floor. The pecan waffle was delicious.

Very warm and confortable, the room was ideal. The weather did not coorporate, but that did stop us from having a wonderful time in the BnB and the town as a whole. Our overall stay was great! We first stayed at the Carroll Villa for New Years weekend 1994 and then again in 1995. We came back to celebrate our 29th Wedding anniversary and hope to be back for our 30th, or before.

Carroll Villa Hotel is a lovely and unique property located in the best location in Cape May. It was our first visit to the area and staying at Carroll Villa made it even more special. The owners were so welcoming and patient with any inquiry we had. The hotel is located within a 5-minute walk from both the beach and the outdoor shopping district (Washington Street Mall) a pedestrian-only outdoor mall in the heart of town with nearly 100 stores. The shops and restaurants are all so unique. The rooms that my companion and I had were perfect-spotless with all the amenities you could need. Room 11 (on the 3rd floor) was especially inviting! We were also fortunate enough to have dined at The Mad Batter for both breakfast and dinner. A definite hotspot with a great vibe and delicious food to match! We were especially impressed with the service (Mahogany at dinner and Tom at breakfast)! Overall, Carroll Villa Hotel is a delightful, unique and beautiful property! I cannot recommend it enough! PS - If you are a bird-watcher (as we are), there are fabulous wildlife trails to explore too! Highly recommend Cape May State Park!

Traveling solo can feel odd but the hotel made me feel very welcome and relaxed. All staff were friendly and pleasant. This includes the restaurant Mad Batter. Great food. Perfect fall weekend! My only very minor concern is that the mattress could be more comfortable but I stayed busy enough to sleep well! Easy walk everywhere.

Place is nice and the restaurant food is good with a bar. Breakfast is excellent. We definitely go back there again with family and friends.

Our room was not worth the price. It had none of the “charm” that is typically associated with this property, the linens were substandard and the bathroom was a disgrace. We had friends staying in a different room that was significantly nicer. On the positive side, the restaurant and vouchers, along with the nightly music were very good. It is in a great location.

Our experience was absolutely first rate. The hotel is charming, very comfortable, and the perfect location for many of the best attractions in town. The Mad Batter was ideal for our vegan diet with many excellent choices, including breakfast, which is very often a challenge. The staff was outstanding - friendly, attentive, and very helpful with all our needs and requests. We definitely plan to return for a longer stay.

Had a great stay , our room as always was very nice and the staff is always very accommodating, had a fantastic meal at the Cricket Club and the breakfasts at The Mad Badder is always a great deal,looking forward to our next visit.

I want to thank the wonderful staff at the Carroll Villa and mad batter hotel and restaurant. I stayed in several Boutique hotels in Cape May over the years and this one will be high on my list as well. I work for Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City and we pride ourselves on Amplified service which I received here. Shout out to Pam for making my stay extra special. She was kind enough to move my room because of the noise from the AC compressor. I enjoyed the food and the music at night as well. Breakfast was fantastic. Great location in walking distance of everything. Highly recommend, thanks again🎸🎶🤘✌️❤️

The Carol Villa is an annual stay for us for several years now. We enjoy every visit. The rooms and food are always wonderful. The staff are always very helpful and friendly, from booking to our last day of our visit.
