Las Arenas Balneario Resort

From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and welcoming. Our rooms had a sea view balcony and were spacious and clean. Large bathroom with a bath and sumptuous large towels plus an effective hairdryer. We were late arriving so had a meal at the hotel which was delicious and again the service was impeccable Breakfast was superb with an amazing choice of fresh food plus gluten free availability As swimmers we loved the large adult pool 33m x 28 m and we enjoyed sitting by the pool before trips into explore valencia. Nice strolls along the beach and we enjoyed some nice local restaurants We started and finished our evenings sitting out on the comfy sofa area with a glass of wine and/or fresh mint tea enjoying the ambience of this hotel. Shout out to Alex who looked after us Would highly recommend and we were sad to leave

The property is beautiful. Rooms are clean and staff is very attentive and friendly, however it needs to take care of safety issues and the area around the hotel is a little dingy.

My 6 yo son cut his toe really badly w a broken tile in the pool area (many tiles in the area were damaged). The staff was not very effective in the response (I’m a doctor and had to take care of the issue). The safety kit (that was less than ideal for an establishment crowded as this one) was far away and took a long time to come. We had to go to the emergency room for stitches and my son isn’t able to bathe in the pool, can’t even go to the beach because he can’t get the wound dirty and he can’t walk for long distances bc his foot gets swollen and hurts. The worst part is that they offered a discount in compensation for the hassle: 50% of the fee (we had 2 family rooms for 2 nights in total). We weren’t expecting anything and obviously didn’t ask for it but given that our vacation was partially ruined by this accident we thought it was a nice gesture. What is our surprise when we are checking out and realize they only applied the discount to 1 night for 1 room, like the incident hadn’t ruined BOTH family’s vacation. What’s more, they applied it to the other family’s check (they checked out first and we just assumed the discount was for both rooms) so when we went to settle the bill we were given the full price and instead of applying it we ended up paying the whole thing so what could’ve been a lovely gesture just turned into a cheap one instead.

This was our 4th visit. We live this hotel. It’s in a beautiful setting within easy reach of so many amenities. The hotel is immaculate; the staff are friendly & helpful

Great location, comfortable rooms, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We made some amazing memories here with friends.

A luxurious, elegant 5 star hotel with ample outside well maintained grounds. A large pool area with direct access to the beach ( the beach is a city beach so busy at weekends and not very nice ). The staff are efficient and helpful they keep the hotel rooms and grounds in good clean condition, the only lacking area for staff was few unhelpful staff in the pool area to assist in the setting up of umbrellas. I note this has been mentioned in previous reviews, but management appear still not to have addressed this problem.The bedrooms are large but could do with an update and the showers are very small. Sea view rooms look directly over the grounds and sea, but the classic rooms only overlook a main road road and derelict building opposite, you get what you pay for. My only major complaint was this hotel caters for large conventions and events, which can at times interfere with the enjoyment of other guests.

We have just returned from seven nights at this resort. Unless you are looking for loud, pulsating music being played from mid-afternoon until early the next morning, and I do mean early morning, like 5.00, 6.00, 7.00am DO NOT stay at this hotel. Marina Beach Club is located around 500m from the hotel and the music from there can be heard throughout the hotel, and particularly on the sea view balconies during those times. It is relentless and goes on almost 24 hours a day at the weekends. In fairness to the hotel, there is nothing they can do about it, and they informed me that they have been in a legal battle with the Club for two years. BUT the experience of staying here is misrepresented by the hotel website. It is NOT "a haven of light, tranquillity and comfort.". Neither does it offer "the serenity of our gardens as you relax in a space designed for rest and well-being.". It certainly is not a place to "disconnect and recharge your batteries.". Unless of course you do want to hear BOOM, BOOM, BOOM 12-24 hours per day. That said, the rest of the hotel is a delight. The rooms, staff, pool, bar, restaurant, views, location are all first class. Particularly the staff, who were all wonderful. I'm afraid that what otherwise would have been a wonderful break was, for us at least, spoilt by the afore mentioned circumstances. I hope this review is useful to future travellers.
