Smugglers Notch Inn

It was a quaint little inn. Definitely old school. The restaurant/bar next door was handy. The breakfast was really good.

The stairs to the rooms were really steep and I almost didnt get my suitcase up them. It was very pricey I thought for a room that was pretty plain. I wouldn't stay there again. But the staff was really nice.

Sloping floors (I guess not surprising for a 1790 building!

The woman running the Inn is so nice and helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub, which was nice. The breakfast was wonderful! The pancakes were the best! It is a very cozy Inn, the downstairs sitting area offers board games, and there is a bookshelf upstairs full of books.

There was nothing to not like! Just be aware that your room will be upstairs with no elevator, which could be hard for some travelers

El servicio excelente. Cuarto limpio y cómodo. El desayuno muy bueno. Es un hotel atendido por sus dueños , los cuales hacen todo lo posible por que uno se sienta como en casa. El ambiente es acojedor. Ayudemos a mantener el negocio. Pues es un hotel centenario. A pesar de que queda a 1 hora de Stowe , el camino es cómodo y seguro. Definitivamente volvería. Gracias por todo.

Homely and Cozy rooms

Bed height uncomfortable

Very sweet couple running this Inn! No frills but worked for us. The area was great for the adventures we had planned during our stay in VT and the bed was super comfortable. The building has a cool, historic feel. Breakfast was ok.

I never like to leave any negative feedback, and I do believe our stay was mostly a great experience. But, I feel in running a B&B, having a comfortable experience for your guests is important. I do think the owners could use some extra help around the place. For the price, we would have loved to have our room made up at least one of the days and fresh towels brought to us instead of placed in a shared space where they weren't always available. A mini fridge and/or coffee maker in the room would have also been a nice touch instead of sharing all of these amenities. We were also bummed the heating system was not yet turned on during two nights of freezing weather. Having to use a space heater overnight felt a bit unsafe and uncomfortable for us. Despite a few things, it is a good, central stay in the area with lots around to do.
