"Love the historical Arlington!"

10.0

I have stayed at the Arlington countless times and have always been pleased. This historic property is undergoing renovation, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff has always been kind, courteous and helpful. My experience today with Dany was no exception! She took the extra time to find exactly the room I wanted for my July stay, and did it cheerfully and efficiently.

spacious room, great walking location, firm bed

They entire hotel was run-down very neglected. The rooms were damp, carpets damp. The parking garage was a hazard.

"Horrible bathroom and no cleaning service. Disapponting stay."

2.0

The bed and room size were good. The lobby is nice and there was live music at night.

The shower was awful, and the bathroom overall was very poor. There were no photos of it when I booked the room. The bathroom had a very small, low vanity, a low-quality mirror, and a cramped shower with broken tiles and an old vent grille above it. It was worse than a typical motel bathroom. The parking lot was very far away and expensive, and there was no cleaning service during our stay (two nights). If I have to make my own bed at a hotel, I would rather stay in a rental apartment. However, the worst aspect of the stay was, without a doubt, that bathroom. I will never go back there.

"The best location, would stay again! Recommend bringing ear plugs, and be okay with some historical paint scrape charm."

7.0

The best location! Great lobby and architecture. Loved the hot tub , pool, and trails.

Construction noise, loud staff in the morning, and surprise fees upon checkout

"Historical but rundown"

7.0

Loved the history behind the place and the location.

The property is really run down. I know they are doing restorations but it’s about 20 years too late.

"20's charm in the Arlington"

8.0

The stay at Arlington is a historical experience. You can feel the charm at every step. We also enjoyed the outdoor pools and the hot tub. The staff was also very helpful and nice. We even got a little ride in the man-operated elevator which was very fun.

Despite Arlington being a historical location it wouldn't hurt to do some updates - for example if the carpet in the room is stained (like ours was) it would be good to replace it.

"Do not recommend staying here."

3.0

The location was good, right in town.

The room was in need of update. Rug was old/dirty. Bathroom wasn’t clean, mold/mildew in shower. The walls are so thin, the noise level was intolerable. They charge for parking and a resort fee of $50 when you check out.

"It Felt Like Sleeping in a Museum"

8.0

That’s exactly what my husband said after our first night at The Arlington, and he meant it as the highest compliment. This isn’t a boutique hotel trying to look historic. This is history — a landmark that has hosted presidents, celebrities, and generations of Hot Springs visitors since 1924. Every hallway, every fixture, every detail carries that weight without being stuffy about it. The rooms are comfortable in the way that only older, well-maintained properties can be — solid, unhurried, with a sense of permanence that modern hotels simply can’t manufacture. You don’t feel like you’re in a generic space optimized for efficiency. You feel like you’re somewhere that actually means something. Add in The Venetian dining room for breakfast and dinner, the grand lobby that stops you mid-stride, and a staff that seems to genuinely take pride in the place — and you have a stay that’s hard to replicate anywhere else in Arkansas. If you want a resort experience, there are newer options in Hot Springs. But if you want to stay somewhere that feels like it has a soul — book The Arlington.
