Mitsis Royal Mare

Visited royal mare in October 10-17th 25, Amazing hotel and staff spent alot of time around the pool and had the pleasure of being waited on by Maria, always friendly smilling helping us even when we isnt wasn't needed, advised on drinks selections and even made us concoctions that weren't on the menu to try, A very kind individual who definitely goes above and beyond,

Staff - exceptional with mentions for Maria at the pool bar and Afrodite and Irini in Pacifico. Hotel - grounds are lovely so is the beach. There are shops, bars and restaurants dotted throughout which give it a village feel. Also nice that the buildings are different. We went early October and it felt quiet and which was nice. Sun beds available by the pool all day. Rooms - we started in 123, but moved after 3 nights due to the noise from the adjacent hotel (an entertainment man screaming into a microphone for 3 hours each night). Rooms are big enough (we’d upgraded to bungalow with private shared pool) and very clean as is the entire hotel. Food - we tried most of the speciality restaurants and the Asian was our favourite. Food is nice is all of them but portions are huge so beware! Buffet restaurant is pretty much as you’d expect and generally something for everyone. The deserts are off the charts nice. Where the hotel could improve is the decor. It is very dated and could do with quite a modernisation. Overall we’ve really enjoyed our stay. As I say at the start the staff make it a throughly enjoyable time.

My sister, niece and I stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is lovely and had everything we needed. The staff are excellent and I can honestly say I’ve never been anywhere with so many happy, friendly employees. We got upgraded on arrival to a suite with private pool, but spent most of our time by pool B. This was mainly due to the excellent service from Maria and the boys at the Kalypso pool bar. Having tried the a la carte restaurants we would recommend brunch at Pacifico, but our favourite was the Italian at Allegro. Thank you Mohammed, you are wonderful and we cannot recommend you enough for going above and beyond. Thank you also for keeping the prosecco flowing. The yoga classes were fun (not too strenuous) and the Hammam at the spa was a great way to spend an overcast day. Some parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired, but everywhere was spotlessly clean. We hope to be back soon.

Maria the bartender and her team at the pool bar were very attentive always made effort to make sure we always had a drink in hand always tidying up around keeping the place looking good

We’ve just come back from a nice relaxing 8 night stay. It’s our second time visiting this hotel. We staying in a shared pool and would definitely recommend staying in one of these rooms, clean spacious and the house keeping was exceptional, our mini bar was topped up most days. We did request the complimentary anniversary package for the day after arrival at 1pm but was disappointed as the cake was already in the fridge when we arrived then at 1pm the next day another cake was delivered with no sparkling wine I rang reception and they sent someone to restock out mini fridge which was not what I asked, I then had to go to reception to speak to them directly and the sparking wine was then delivered at 5pm I understand this is complimentary but wanted it as a little surprise for my husband. We also requested the room or area that we had stayed in the previous year we were told on arrival that the room wasn’t available which I knew couldn’t be guaranteed which was fine but all our al a cart reservations were in the room that we requested and not the room we were staying in a little confusing when I went to reception to ask if it could be changed on the future reservations I was told it couldn’t not sure why but it would have helped the staff when going to these reservations as they ask for the room number on arrival. It’s the first time we’ve used the spa and although it was lovely I found the outside areas very dated and quite dirty. All in all we did have a lovely stay the staff at the calypso bar are lovely always with a smile on their faces. Anna at the crepe bar was lovely too even though the weather wasn’t great when we went down. Food in the main restaurant isn’t very warm but lots of fresh cooked options available and always lots of option on the deserts.

Currently midway through our stay after visiting for the first time in 2023 as a newly engaged couple. Back now married with 7 month baby and can’t recommend highly enough. Kindly provided an unexpected upgrade to dimitria. Would recommend a suite if visiting with baby or child. Excellent location of pool for afternoon sunshine (still a bit chilly for baby but indoor pool at Thalasso is great for babies first time swimming - rock pools at beach also fab) and close to beach. Many of the same staff - Maria at the Kalypso bar gave us such a warm welcome and fantastic service every visit! Love the Bellinis!

Stayed here in October and was lovely location for a bit of sun, two main pool areas, with buffet and then themed restaurants (average food), the pool bar had entertainment nightly and the upstairs bar had lovely bar staff, Herson is a credit to the team and was always so tentative, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. In whole the venue is quite big and has a spa service which is extra and there is also an indoor pool although not that big.

Really lovely hotel. Swimming pool is cold in October just fyi. Room is lovely and is spacious. Buffet is average but the bookable restaurants are nice. Herson at the upstairs main bar was really kind, caring and incredible service. We done the onsite photo shoot which was great fun but is pricey if you wanted the pictures. Did message the hotel saying it was my friends 30th but nothing special was done for her which is no affect on our stay but could of added a special sparkle

During our stay at the Mitsis Royal Mare, Maria at the Delphinia Pool Bar really stood out. She was always friendly, attentive and welcoming, and made our days by the pool even more enjoyable. Maria remembered our orders, checked in with us at just the right moments and created such a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. She’s a real credit to the hotel and helped make our stay that bit more special.

Lovely hotel, great service, nice rooms, very attentive staff. Can’t fault it would recommend to friends. Nice chilled atmosphere, good location too
