Mitsis Royal Mare

Amazing hotel. So much to do. Beautiful beach, perfect for snorkelling and numerous pools for all the family. Al a carte restaurants were all amazing as well! We particularly liked Pacifico where you could have brunch. We rebooked to go again because it was delicious. Aphrodité, the manager was so friendly and made the experience so chilled and nice for our family.

The hotel with its bungalow rooms is a lovely layout. 2 storey bungalows surrounded by palm trees etc. Bars, shops, restaurants and pools, some private, dotted amongst them leading down to the beach. On the plus: lovely rooms, restaurants vast amount of food choice, great service, well equipped gym, exercise classes are good. Some minor observations:: our bathroom drain didn't drain properly initially but got sorted, the air con is a bit too noisy, and Heraklion airport is in the direct flight path and building work noise in the background! Overall, lovely fantastic well food and service with facilities have a cretan 'sharm'! We are having a fab time!

Really lovely so far! Landed late last night and were greeted with a buffet and also door to door service, driven straight to our room with luggage and an upgrade to a private pool with our neighbours. The perfect greeting after a long journey. Amazing, it’s like a mini village! Lots of swimming pools, lovely restaurants, and everything you need. We’re being so well looked after - the staff are very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Maria at the Delphinia pool bar for her kind service and incredible drinks! 🍸 Thank you! 💖

A la carte restaurants were great. Aphrodite in the beach restaurant was great and very attentive. Would recommend booking the a la carte restaurants before you arrive as they book up quickly

Our meal at The Candia restaurant was excellent. Food was so good and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely evening and great setting.

Currently sitting in reception waiting to be collected and go back to Hetaklion airport. We have been here in room 180 for 7 wonderful days. I won't write a detailed review as almost every review says what I would. I just want to echo what an amazing place this is: staff top the list - ALL staff. Facilities excellent. Food varied. A la carte restaurants great. Excellent, relaxing 7 days. One of the few places I will return to.

Best waiter at the main bar - Herson!!! Always with a smile. Willing to give his best. Really reccomend him if you see him at the main bar of the Mitsis royal mare.

Amazing hotel. Really child friendly , lovely staff and great food! Herson from the lobby bar is incredible ! He made our time at the hotel- he was warm and friendly and so quick with getting our drink orders and looking after us. He made our trip ! Thank you Herson !
