Mitsis Royal Mare

The weather great for October very pleasant. The hotel is exceptionally clean rooms comfortable etc. Food is a let down it’s not 5star and the buffet was the same things each day for a Greek hotel the Greek food wasn’t great and the restaurants served the same things that the main buffet served just with waiter service. Not much in the buffet for children etc and most of the food luke warm When I chose an all inclusive food is a big part and really not the best

The best vacation ever! The staff is amazing, professional and friendly, and do all the best to make your stay in hotel unforgettable!! The food is great, plenty of dishes for any taste, extremely delicious, you can find here anything you want, deserts there are especially tasty! Thematic dinners in main restaurant ,a la carte restaurants are included, many bars with tasty cocktails. The room is spacious, very beautiful design. Royal Mare is the best choice for us and we will definitely come back soon!!

Having previously stayed at other mitsis hotels which were great i was expecting great things from this one especially as it was so much more expensive. I was so very disappointed. Firstly the positives. The hotel was clean with good ammenities and well kept the staff friendly and the food of a good standard. The negatives were we found the service was intermittent at best depending on where you sat and who served you. There were times I was offered one drink and never asked again. Hygiene at the self service buffet could have been greatly improved as we all came down with a sickness bug whilst staying there which the staff admitted was spread throughout the hotel by people not washing their hands before visiting the buffet. There was a hand sanitiser at the restaurant entrance but no encouragement to use it. On one occasion the milk jug the milk was served in at breakfast was filthy with congealed milk around the top. There are several speciality restaurants on site which proved very difficult to get in to as they booked up so quickly. I was particularly disappointed that the hotel made no effort for Halloween. No decorations no dressing up. It was treated like any other night. We stayed in a different mitsis hotel where great effort was put into making a spectacle of the event. Over all very disappointing and huge room for improvement

Perfect relaxed Family holiday at Mitsis Royal Mare. We recently stayed at Mitsis Royal Mare for a family holiday and had the best holiday. We booked a suite with a private pool, and it was absolutely worth it the room was so big. Waking up and walking out to our own pool each morning was perfect. The resort grounds are immaculate, with lush gardens, peaceful walkways, and plenty of quiet corners to unwind. It's right on the beachfront and the crystal-clear water was for perfect swims and snorkeling with the kids. The service from the staff was outstanding service. Every staff member was warm and attentive, but we’d especially like to mention Herson, one of the waiters, who went above and beyond for us every day. His professionalism, friendly manner, and attention to detail made us feel very special. He remembered our drinks order and never left our glasses empty. He always greeted us with a big smile amd we had a lovely chat about thr Philippines. The food and drinks were excellent, with lots of variety in the buffet. The a la cartes were amazing, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I would advise booking these beforehand on the Mitsis App. The holiday exceeded our expectations. It’s a perfect choice if your looking for luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return especially to see Herson again!

My daughter couldn’t have picked a better place to enjoy her 21st birthday. Went with my daughter and sister and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived all the staff were so friendly and helpful and they all seemed happy. Big shout out to Mohammed at the Italian Allegro, he went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing meal (thank you). Also Maria and the boys at Kalypso pool bar were outstanding, and service with a smile. The young girl on early breakfast was so attentive. Lovely hotel, staff and location. The only downside was no Fanta Lemon the week we were there but it wasn’t a big problem. Looking forward to returning.

This is our second time at the hotel this year. We have visited many mitsis hotels over the last few years but royal mare is our favourite. While it is not the most modern it has something much more appealing and that’s genuine staff that are so welcoming and friendly that it makes you want to return. We came in August with our two children. We are lucky as they live the sea and pool so are quite happy with the facilities. We had such a great time we returned in October. We were greeted like old friends and so well looked after for our seven night stay. Our room a sharing pool with sea view was beautiful. Again not modern but spacious and clean. The room cleaning staff were so helpful and friendly. Snorkelling in the sea is great but it is not sand but small stones which is fine for us. Blue flag beach has great wildlife with fish crabs and octopus. Restaurants are very good with attentive staff. Evening entertainment is limited but if you want a quiet break this is the place. It never feels busy as there are many bars and sun loungers available. The staff are better than any hotel I have been to. They genuinely care and are so kind. Special mentions for: Costa - hard working beach manager who takes pride in his work and never sits still! Aprodite - so friendly and helpful and does her job so well. Ireni - it was so lovely to see ireni again she is such a kind and lovely person quietly doing a fantastic job. Manolis - this man must do 50,000 steps a day and is so welcoming and kind. Fortini - we were greeted by fortini on arrival. She remembers everything and looked after us so well. Maria - in Pacifico restaurant is another kind and lovely character Theoni - reception so helpful and patient helping us get some medication. As well as many more we were so well looked after and so grateful. We hope the staff have a good well earned winter break. We hope to return again soon. The Williams family room 614.

Have just returned this weekend from this hotel - we visited as a family of four - 2 teenagers, 2 parents, in October UK half term 2025. Firstly the weather was beautiful - I was expecting a bit of half and half but we had blue skies and mid-twenties temps every day. We stayed in the Ambassador Suite - we had a private seafront pool and two separate rooms with a lockable door between. One side had a huge king-size-plus bed, the other had 2 large singles pushed together. A bathroom and sitting room area to each room and both sides had double doors access to the pool. It was absolutely worth the money to upgrade to this suite. The room amenities were excellent - loads of towels, mini bar refills, robes, high quality toiletries and other extras offered by the hotel to make our stay super-special. The hotel staff could not have been more caring and thoughtful. Anna and Annia at Guest Services were extremely attentive and helpful. All of the staff in the restaurants looked after us beautifully, including a cake on a birthday we happened to be celebrating that week. The restaurants manager Afroditi was very warm and professional, as were all of her staff. Overall, the hotel itself is kept spotless, gardens looked after, everything mopped and swept every day. The restaurant food is excellent. The food in the main buffet was also very nicely made, tasty and varied, and well presented. There are lots of very healthy looking resident cats; one of my daughters is really not a fan of cats but they just wander past without being a bother. The only part of the hotel that wasn’t quite 5* was the general vibe of the buffet - the staff were very friendly and helpful but could have done with a few more to clear tables/bring drinks much more quickly. Also the overall look/feel was a bit tired and needs a refresh. Finally, the room itself, if you can afford to do it, is 100% worth it. The pool area, size of the space, view of the sea, amenities and caring treatment by the staff made this a very special holiday. We are already talking about returning next year. Our big thanks to all of the staff at the hotel.

This hotel is awesome, the staff are super helpful and supportive. Giorgos, you're an awesome man, he made our visit at the hotel pleasant. He's superb, he deserves an award. I'll recommend the hotel.

My husband and I had a fantastic 2 week holiday at Mitsis Royal Mare at the beginning of October 2025. The whole resort is attractively laid out and is very clean and well-maintained. We arrived later than expected due to a flight delay at Gatwick but despite the late hour, the staff made us feel very welcome and there was still a generous spread of food in the main restaurant so we didn't go hungry! We had upgraded our room to one with a private shared pool and we think it made a real difference to our holiday experience. I know some reviewers have said their room could do with updating but ours was up-to-date and modern with a really comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobes and drawers. We would have preferred a walk-in shower but the shower in the bath was fine. We had our own terrace with chairs, a table and loungers and there were plenty of sun loungers around the pool. The Kalypso bar was only a few steps away from our pool area and the staff always offered to bring our drinks to us which was an added bonus. There is a well-stocked gym and a large studio at the top end of the resort with a range of machines, treadmills, dumbbells, TRX etc. No squat rack but there is a Smith machine. They run classes in the studio. We didn't use the sauna or indoor pool but the whole wellness centre looked lovely. There was a great range of food choices in the main restaurant so definitely something for everyone and the a la carte restaurants were fantastic. In the main restaurant, we always sat in the outside area as the inside felt a bit 'canteen' like. Of the a la carte restaurants, we particularly enjoyed the beach restaurant Albatros and the Italian Allegro but they were all great and made it feel like we were 'going out' for a meal, rather than just eating at the main restaurant every time. Definitely book these restaurants before your holiday - it's easy to do online. You can eat in each of the a la carte restaurants once per week. Make sure you try them all! We were really impressed by the quality of the food at all the restaurants. The staff at the Royal Mare could not do enough for us and really made the difference. A special shout-out to Afrodite, Irini, Mohammed and Jonabelle who made us feel so welcome and to the concierge Sara who was invaluable on our departure day when the taxi (which we had booked ourselves before our holiday) did not arrive. We'll definitely book our taxi through the hotel next time! We would not hesitate to recommend Mitsis Royal Mare and we will definitely be back.
