Westport Woods Hotel & Spa

We stayed at the Westport Woods Hotel for 3 nights Bed & Breakfast with evening dinner included. We got this accomodation package at a very keen and competitive rate. Access to the Gym, jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool facilities were also included in the package. The bedroom was very spacious and great value for money. I was dashing on the evening of our arrival and needed to have dinner quickly in order to attend a video meeting that evening. In this regard we got sorted instantly by Seamus (Manager) at the Lakeview Restaurant. Its important to say here his professionalism, character and little quips were absolutely pitched perfect for us across our whole stay. The dinner menu, 4 courses, was very well catered for everyone and changed each day. On our last evening we encountered Kay as a manager along with Seamus. A great team. Very witty and the encounter and exchange between them and us made our last dinner very good memorable. The Panna Cotta I had for dessert on our last evening dinner was to die for. It was suggested / flagged to me by Kay. The Seamus and Kay team was a match made in heaven. Years of experience dealing with customers / residents and you could see their unique team spirit. This skill only comes with tome and experience. Nothing short of Excellent, 10/10 to them both Kay was on duty again at our last breakfast time and she just couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome that morning for breakfast. This is what customer service is all about. An acquired skill afyer years of dealing with people. Well done both of you. Now my next little comment or observation is about something entirely different and unusual. The LIFT...... In all my years staying in hotels, and I've stayed in many, I have never encountered such a quick and efficient lift. The call wait time was rapidly short, the doors opening and closing was super efficient. It caught both of our eyes that we commented on it ourselves and to staff too.

Accommodation was of a high standard. The food was very good quality. We could walk into town.

This was a very good hotel, and seemingly very popular for travellers to Westport. All amenities were good, with a good breakfast offered in the restaurant. The hotel room was very clean, but the rooms are obviously a little older in their facilities and decor

Nice location, clean, staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Long wait time to check in, seemed very understaffed, only one girl on desk on her own, a lot of people for her to organise and facilitate questions on her own. Food wasn't very appetising at dinner.

This was a lovely welcoming hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely plan a repeat visit

Everything the bed was big and comfy and the pool and sauna were fab.
