Great friendly atmosphere. The hotel reception and breakfast/dining room have just been refurbished to a high standard but I hope they add a few more chairs to the breakfast room as they kept moving chairs around as never enough. Evening entertainment was great and staff very friendly. Good big bedrooms and hopefully the bathrooms will be next for remodelling. Oh! Nearly forgot to mention the great sized pool and open plan gym with enough equipment to cover all my needs. Would definitely book again.

Food, staff, service, value & location

Very quiet bar...Atmosphere not brilliant

Our 31 Active Retirement members spent a memorable 5 days in this wonderful hotel. It was great value for money, with big comfortable rooms, deep mattresses and pillows, music and dancing each night with audience participation welcomed. We had a four course meal each night with freshly made delicious desserts….compliments to the chef. But the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Two of our members needed medical care and Aisling went above and beyond the call of duty. Rickie and Anna in the bar provided sandwiches and tea at 11.15pm for one member who had spent hours in Castlebar A&E. Annette at reception looked after our every needs. Seamus in the restaurant kept us all laughing with his great sense of humour and Kay welcomed each of us by name at every meal ….even memorising our room numbers. She also visited each table to ensure we were well looked after by the lovely young staff. All this contributed greatly to our comfort and enjoyment. Our thanks to everyone.

We had such a lovely stay at Westport Woods, which was down to the team and the warm welcome they gave us. It really made the stay, special thanks to the front of house team (Aisling and the other lady) and the cleaning team for being so kind with our kids (including the bedtime pint of milk!) They were do generous with their time and local recommendations. We found the hotel location between Westport and the Quay great, the Quay was very walkable, the town would be as long as you don't mind a steep climb back! Also great for exploring Clew bay, and up to Achill. The hotel is being renovated, and the leisure centre particularly needs (and is getting) attention. We were in an older room, but it was spacious and had everything we needed.Good breakfast selection.

We had a lovely 2 night stay that was super value for money. The staff were all excellent and very friendly but would like to give a special shout out to Kay who constantly went over and above to make you feel welcome. We will return.

Great location between the town and the harbour and Westport House as a backdrop. Nice relaxed atmosphere, nice spacious room on floor 3. Not as good value as it used to be but still the best around. Room cleaned every day, hotel clean also despite renovations taking place. Service was excellent, staff really good in restaurant led by the Hotels best asset in Kay who has a kind word (or two) with everyone. Facilities excellent too, gym and pool. Highly recommend this Hotel.
