As always, V&A has the best location in the waterfront. A wonderful breakfast adds up to the service level

Besides from a bad option of room (rooftop room with only roof windows (no view), the I existence of room service was remarkable on the downside. A breakfast (coffee, orange juice and toast) was requested for an early flight wake up time (05:00), without having been served or any apologies offered.

Great location at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The rooms were very bright, clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly.

The breakfast buffet did not provide for guests to have toast and the Danish pastries were a little stale, but otherwise very good.

I completed a 5-night stay at the Victoria and Alfred hotel and had a pleasant experience. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel offers a scrumptious daily breakfast buffet which overlooks Table Mountain, offering beautiful vistas. It's located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, walking distance to/from a variety of bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops. I look forward to a future visit!

Location was superb.

Getting old I think.

We were made very welcome by the reception staff and porters from the moment of arrival and throughout. The hotel is clean and bright. Room was spacious, clean and bright with view of piazza. Food menu had lots of options and delicious. Location was superb alongside waterfront with views of Table Mountain. Would return to this hotel without hesitation.

The V & A Hotel was perfect for our 3 day trip to Cape Town. It was located right in the center of all the action. We loved being able to walk outside and pop back into the hotel throughout the day. The hotel and the staff were so kind and attentive. The breakfast was delicious. We tried a different item on the menu each day and found everything to be exceptional. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had too. All the ingredients were fresh and it was constantly being attended to. Our room was also amazing. We stayed in a corner room on the 2nd floor with a large king sized bed. The bed was comfortable and we had a nice sitting area too. We could see the water and the mountains! The bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure too. Overall, this was our first time to Cape Town and we truly believe we had such a great time because of our hotel! We scored!

Totally recommended; great service, a peaceful atmosphere, and exceptionally helpful staff throughout the hotel. The in-house restaurant, Ginja, was outstanding, offering both excellent quality and a wide variety of yummy food, matched by warm and attentive service. A special shout-out to Ayah, who truly made our experience memorable. As our server, he went above and beyond to make our group feel completely at home. Every request was handled quickly and thoughtfully, often improved by his suggestions and genuine kindness. Everyone at our table was commenting on how fantastic he was and how tasty the food was. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future!
