The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

The perfect place for either a relaxing, resort-based holiday or to use as a base for exploring other parts of the beautiful island. The facilities are second-to-none, with luxurious rooms, great restuarants & bars, a wonderful spa & gym area and beautiful outside space with pools and gardens. The food was delicious in all the 3 restaurants we tried, but the buffet breakfast, of almost any international food you could think of, was truly exceptional. Without exception, the staff were brilliant - always cheerful, friendly, helpful and polite, all the way through from gardeners to management. But, for us, the highlight of our stay was the Splash poolside bar and it's staff. We believe Ong, the brilliant barman and cocktail mixologist, is the best we've been served by, and watched in action, anywhere in the world (and we've encountered quite a few!). His efficiency but attention to detail is absolutely amazing!

Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the many opportunities this hotel left us with. Pool waswonderful, Gym and recreation center the same. Can’t ask for more. The beach isn’t the best it is clean but there are small stone in the water . If I were returning i would bring my bathing shoes. If you dont mind I am sure you will have a good time. Tried the Spa. The nicest people and a good service. I will behappy to return to this place anytime.

I received a room upgrade to a beach villa with private pool which was very luxurious and comfortable. Beach was well-appointed. There were three pools next to beach, one lagoon pool, one main pool overviewing ocean and one smaller square pool. Service was very efficient to deliver something to my villa or send buggy to pick me up. Breakfast was a variety of local, Western or Chinese cuisines.

The Westin Langkawi was great in so many ways. The food was outstanding. We ate at the Breeze all three nights we were here.

Very old. Rooms are old. Toilets stink. Needs a renovation ASAP. Not 5 star worthy.

Just at the end of an 18 night stay here and have really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is set in very spacious grounds with a private sandy beach lots of areas to choose to take a lounger and 3 pool areas including a large infinity pool and a delightful shady rock pool. Tennis and all sorts of other activities and a good gym. The hotel is showing its age in some places but the starting point is of very good quality and all the important bits are well maintained. 3 excellent restaurants, Tides is international standard and breakfast has an array of different styles of food. The lamb curry is superb . Staff are very helpful and friendly and special thanks to Naza the duty manager who has been particularly helpful. Will come again.

We have just spent 12 nights in a beachfront villa. Being our first visit to Malaysia, it took us a little while to feel settled in but once we did we really loved this place. The hotel is a little worn but it just felt comfortable. Once you get used to the tides, the swimming was excellent, and the beach views are spectacular. Beautiful gardens and wildlife. Most of the local restaurants are a short distance away but Grab worked really well. Staff were wonderful and could not be more friendly or helpful. Shout out to the spa staff (Juli and Siti), breakfast staff (Chef Rawat and team) and reception.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was very 'roomy'! There should be a deep end/ or a separate deep pool for serious swimmers. Current swimming is mostly for wading or for kids.
