The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa

We recently stayed at The Westin Resort on the beautiful island of Langkawi and had a wonderful experience overall. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The true asset of this resort is its people—every team member went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurants on site served delicious food with a great variety of options. During our stay we also visited the restaurants at the nearby St Regis Hotel, which were fantastic and well worth experiencing. While the rooms could benefit from some updating, they were very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, keeping everything spotless and well maintained. We would like to make special mention of Hazura at Reception who went out of her way to please us and Hamisah in Housekeeping who provided exceptional service. They both made us feel special and welcome. Overall, we would happily recommend this resort for its warm hospitality, relaxing atmosphere, and the many activities available. The Westin Resort is a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Langkawi.

A wonderful stay at the Westin Langkawi thanks to the kindness, hospitality and professionalism of the entire staff who cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and a valued guest at the property. A big shout out to Amy in Tides restaurant who really takes care of every guest during a very busy breakfast service. Raza, front office office manager is everywhere and greets every guest personally and genuinely cares that the service is five star and takes great pride in her job. Farouk in the recreational beach facility is a gem and taught us how to operate a catamaran. A fun experience. The resort is showing its age however its staff, location, setting and facilities more than compensate this and we spent 10 totally relaxing days in watching monkeys playing in the trees from our upgraded room sitting on a huge balcony. A wonderful experience thank you.

Le petit dej était super. L’endroit magnifique. Le personnel génial. Les 3 piscines très belles avec le bar intégrée. De nombreux équipements de sports étaient à disposition. Un bar sympathique avec une chanteuse. La nourriture très bonne.

La piscine principale a été fermée 2jours Tous les équipements marins étaient à louer en plus ….alors que l’hôtel est déjà très cher L’hôtel demanderait par endroit d’être rafraîchi

This hotel has so much potential but its a bit tired, Our daughters room had not been cleaned properly and when we arrived we found the previous occupants takeaway food, dirty cutlery. They had also left condoms. We complained about this twice but apart from picking up the food and changing the cutlery the room did not have a proper clean. The door handle for the shower was missing. The shower glass etc was dirty. Our room also had cracked bath and could have been cleaner. The pools were lovely, but to play tennis or pickleball we had to pay extra. Guests should also be aware that there is nowhere close to go out for food etc and the best restaurant - Tide only had one vegetarian option. The other restaurant has very little atmosphere but we had little choice but to eat there. We also did not appreciate the hard sell on arrival to buy credit towards our food bill - arriving late in the evening and told we only had to the end of the day to make a decision and dealing with the state of my daughters room meant we were not in a position to consider this.

Everything such a lovely location with beautiful views. The staff were so friendly as were the monkeys. Food was of a high standard and plenty of choice.
