The Villa location was amazing

First, the lady in the check in counter was very rude and unprofessional. The phone in the villa was not working and they couldn’t address the problem for next 4 hours after lodging the complain. The “Taste” restaurant for lunch too was very upsetting. The food was no way up to the mark and the waiters were too lousy to even provide utensils along with the food

Yes rooms need a little tlc.what a wonderful hotel food great absolutely spotless.great position and fantastic views.the best must be the hospitality nothing too much trouble.have to give a massive mention to Fieza and Aiman in the breeze lounge who made it a magical holiday and all the staff

It’s always a pleasure returning to The Westin Langkawi. Despite booking during the busy pre Hari Raya holiday, our reservation was handled seamlessly. Special thanks to Mr. Muhammad Izwan for his great assistance and for ensuring a smooth handover to Ms. Safura during his leave; both were exceptional. The surprise suite upgrade made our stay even more memorable. We were also delighted to see familiar faces — Ms. Rin, Ms. Shima, Ms. Fieza, Mr. Aiman, Ms. Marina and Mr. Ong — whose warm hospitality continues to make us feel welcomed. A special mention to Ms. Emmy from Seasonal Tastes, who consistently delivers outstanding service. She is always polite, friendly, and attentive, making guests feel truly welcomed. Her thoughtful gestures, including remembering our family’s preferences, were deeply appreciated. Thank you as well to Ms. Liza, Mizu, and Ms. Halimah for their kind assistance. A consistently excellent experience & definitely we look forward to returning again soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Poor stay. Dated hotel with poor food. Staff unhelpful. Pool unsafe for small children.

Beautiful garden with many monkeys, very kind and helpful staff, restaurants and bars are romantic and entertaining with live music

There is a wide choice of selection for breakfast, but after 4-5 days you would look maybe for something new. Otherwise the quality was excellent.

Staff hospitality that makes us feel welcoming throughout the stay and the evening performance/ music is awesome. Plenty juices for buffet breakfast, I love it.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, particularly for families with young children considering staying here. During our stay, my son sustained a significant cut to his abdomen while in the children’s pool, which required emergency hospital treatment (stitches, antibiotics , painkillers) and follow-up care. From what we directly observed at the time, this appeared to be caused by sharp debris from the pool wall that was found by another child within the pool itself. For a children’s facility, this is extremely concerning and not something most guests would reasonably expect to encounter. What compounded the situation was the response. Immediate assistance on site was limited, and it took time and persistence to arrange appropriate support. In a situation involving a visibly serious injury, this lack of prompt, confident handling did little to reassure us as parents. We did raise our concerns directly with the Loss Prevention Manager during our stay. However, beyond an initial acknowledgement, there was no meaningful follow-up, which was disappointing given the seriousness of the incident. Perhaps most worrying was what we observed afterwards. Prior to departure, we revisited the pool areas and could still see sections that appeared worn, damaged, or incomplete. While I cannot comment on the technical details, it did not give the impression that the issue had been urgently or fully resolved during our stay. That, more than anything, left us uneasy. Beyond this, the overall condition of the resort did not align with expectations. The rooms and decor felt notably dated and in need of investment, which further impacted the overall experience. The location itself is undeniably beautiful, but that alone cannot offset concerns around safety, maintenance, and the standard of guest care. For families in particular, those factors matter far more. I hope the management reflects carefully on this and takes meaningful steps to address it. Although given the lack of response we received - I doubt it.

We have just returned after a week here, having been to Penang & Singapore beforehand. I was a little concerned before we came here as some reviews indicated the hotel was run down etc. This is not true- our room was immaculate, housekeeping were amazing. We didn’t notice any area of the hotel which was tired. The staff were so friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would say that the food in the restaurants was average though, which was a shame as it’s quite a way into Kuah town to find other restaurants. Breakfast however was very good. There are a couple of restaurants & a bar at the Yacht club- walkable- but they are very much aimed at westerners so didn’t appeal to us really. Grab worked ok to get into Kuah but as a bit sketchy coming back. We would recommend the hotel, especially having been around the island & seeing that other hotels are quite remote. Mangrove tour with Dev’s was a great experience. We hired a driver for the day as well who took us around the island which was a lovely day.
