"Wonderful Westin"

Wonderful hotel, with spectacular views. Service impeccable ! Large recreation area with gym, tennis courts, spa etc, plus a daily program of events. All hosted away from the oool and beach area so those that want rest and relaxation can certainly find it here. Plenty of wildlife around the hotel grounds , early morning seeing the hornbills and eagles feed is worth a getting up for. Food in the hotel is great, but plenty of restaurants not too far away should you want to venture out. Will definitely return, love this place!

"Empty Nest Haven!"

We had a wonderful week stay at the Westin Hotel in Langkawi. We had a king partial ocean view room, which overlooked the main pool. The bed we slept in was probably the most comfortable bed/mattress we have ever had in a regular hotel room. The air conditioning worked really well, and the overhead room fan was gentle and cool. Coming to our room and relaxing each night after the heat and humidity of the day was a welcome treat. The breakfast was of high quality, a lot of make to order foods available. If you are a Westerner it is a wonderful opportunity to sample many of the local/regional cuisines. We availed of the cooking class one day at lunchtime, the chef was warm and friendly and shared his knowledge with us. We made two local Malaysian recipes and that was our lunch! The cost was well worth it, especially with the lunch included. The service all around was top notch, in all areas including the Breeze lounge, front desk, tour bookings, pool bar, breakfast, and housekeeping. Staff was very courteous and nice. As Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members we received a free room upgrade, a free drink each afternoon at the Breeze lounge, and late checkout on our departure day. All in all, we were delighted with our stay and would come back here again in the future! Especially for the comfortable bed!
