Lopesan Villa del Conde Resort & Thalasso

This hotel is great. Perfect for a sunny break for couples and families. The grounds are superb with lovely gardens. The pools especially are fantastic. There are several of them. Our weather was so good we didn’t try the Spa but that also looks fantastic. There are lots of sunbeds, but prime positions can go early. The Staff are all excellent, from the front desk to the pool bar, everyone was polite, helpful and friendly they made our stay very enjoyable and are a credit to the management. The rooms are good, ours was facing the sea on the ground floor, it was very convenient, it had afternoon sun and was quite spacious. It had tea making facilities the fridge was a bit strange, quite small, about 6” deep and noisy (we turned ours off). The hotel is big, with several blocks of rooms so you need to decide what you’re willing to pay for. The walk-in shower and bathroom were excellent. There was also a walk in wardrobe with a safe and full length mirror. The only negative was there are only a couple of available electric sockets, none of which are by the bed. Also there is no actual dressing table with a mirror even though there is plenty of room. So my wife had to use the bathroom for her hair which is not ideal. Also there are no bedside drawers, just a shelf like unit each side of the bed. These are minor gripes, they didn’t spoil the room but could be easily improved on the next round of redecorating. We’ve stayed here before but never at this time of year. The late sunsets and warm evenings made the hotel a much better experience. When we’ve stayed over winter there are not many places you can sit in relative warmth and the evenings on Gran Canaria are always quite cool and often the wind chill can make them seem cooler so you need a sweater or thin jacket. The bar this time was great they had big TV screens to show the World Cup and the staff were excellent.

Las piscinas eran espectaculares y totalmente climatizadas. Buffet muy variado y de alta calidad. Spa increíble. Las habitaciones eran amplias y muy cómodas. Personal del Hotel muy amable.

It's a very beautiful hotel, well situated in front of the sea. Service is top notch, the staff is very friendly. Rooms are great, everything is clean. The food is very high quality. I love the Villa Del Conde and I will definitely go back.

El desayuno y lo bonito que era el hotel

Tuvimos muy mala experiencia con una de las personas de recepción, su nombre era Karina creo y se encarga de atender reclamaciones. Nos trató con muy malas formas, nos gritó y perdió los papeles porque estábamos intentando grabar un pequeño video en el baño de la recepción. No nos dejó explicarle que era un video personal, de aprox 3 segundos. Antes de poder explicarle nada perdió los papeles, algo muy sorprendente teniendo en cuenta, como más tarde nos explicó su compañero, que ella se dedica a gestionar reclamaciones, etc. Una pena, porque el resto del personal eran agradables.
