Myself and my partner, both in our 60's have just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel. You are first greeted to a very palatial extravagant hotel lobby! It's superb! Our room had a garden view, which we didn't mind as it was pretty, and we didn't really use it much and it got the evening sun. The room was a really good size, with everything we needed, although the fridge was incredibly small and narrow, and could really only take a bottle of water, and it was very noisy, so we didn't use it. We had the luxury of a walk in dressing room, large bathroom with separate shower, bath, and toilet/bidet areas. As others have mentioned, there are limited sockets to charge devices, but you are there to relax, not look at your phone all day. The food in the restaurant was delicious and it's well worth going half board rather than pay the extra whilst there to dine in. The staff were on the whole, polite, friendly and helpful. The garden and pool area was lovely, and always well kept. There was no shortage of sun beds, despite people going out early to block them with their towels. The pools were heated, bonus. The drinks were not as cheap as going elsewhere, and you even had to pay for water. This is my only negative point, all drinking water, except the 2 bottles on arrival, has to be paid for, at around 3 euros per small bottle, so head over to the nearby supermarket. The location is right beside the sea, with a lovely promenade walk to local shops, restaurants and the famous dunes, and nudist beach. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed everything about the Hotel. The staff at the reception were excellent and very efficient. We de enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We also spent a day in the spa and thallasso which was amazing. We would all recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break.

The only complaint I have is that the bed was too hard for my liking but I also have arthritis so I understand they may be fine for most people.

I liked the aesthetics of the property, the waiters and some of the receptionists.

1. I did not like the lack of signage to place. 2. I did not like how far away places were 3. I did not like how a pillow case was marked with an orange stain on arrival and in 3 days it was not changed. 4. Also the beach towels were never changed

We stayed for 10 nights half board. I asked for a quiet room and was given one with a balcony overlooking the quiet pool. The room was very spacious. There were no sockets next to the bed but at the time the hotel was built there was no need to constantly be charging and looking at electronic items. We just recharged our phones using the lamp and kettle sockets. We never had any trouble getting loungers around the quiet pool. It was heated and you could just walk into it without the usual gasp! It was never too busy and we found we could easily swim without disturbing anyone else’s swim. The food was very good. We sat outside for all meals. There was a different type of meat and fish available each evening with delicious steaks on a couple of occasions. There was a vast selection of desserts and cheeses and always four different ice cream flavours were available at dinner. On Sunday morning an amazing saxophonist played outside the restaurant and was very well received. A violinist played one evening who again was exceptional. There was a different band also playing each evening and plenty of seats to watch. In the bar there are televisions which showed both European and matches from the Premier League. There is a book exchange in reception which had a good turnover. We did borrow putters and balls on one occasion at a refundable price of fifty euros each which passed some time but the lawn was not up to scratch for this purpose. A five minute walk from the hotel’s entrance leads you to the bus station which gives plenty of opportunities to discover the island. We took the bus to Puerto Mogán and then the glass bottomed boat to Puerto Rico where a free bus from the Mogan Mall takes you back to Meloneras again. The hotel is on a flat boardwalk by the sea for some stunning views and people watching.

Booked 1 week holiday via jet2 with son and husband who has Alzheimer’s, ensured jet2 were aware of husband condition and booked special assistance for him . On arrival at the hotel they were not very sympathetic to husbands Alzheimer’s, on the booking I asked for pool view to give him somewhere pleasant to sit, we were given a dingy room with no view just a couple of shrubs and the road, I asked to be moved , shown another room that also wasn’t suitable, taken to third room with sea view for an additional 300 euros on 4th floor with no nearby lift and lots of stairs, people with Alzheimer’s are high risk for falling so the 3rd room was not really suitable for him but I didn’t feel comfortable to ask again for a room that would be more suitable for his needs. Would have paid extra for a perfect room had I been offered what I requested , over £3200 for a weeks holiday on the basis that a 5 star hotel would be sympathetic

la amabilidad del personal,.. las instalaciones son enormes, muchas piscinas y jardines,.. todo exquisitamente cuidado, con una magnifica ubicación frente al paseo marítimo,.. la habitación espectacular

Sin wifi, sencillamente no hay,.. nula señalización en las zonas comunes, un completo laberinto para acceder a las habitaciones o el parking,.. sin ninguna posibilidad de tomar un café expreso natural en ningún sitio, todo en capsulas,.. una fatal decisión en un país tan cafetero como España,..
