H10 Taburiente Playa

The Hotel is well located at short distance from the Airport, and it is on the sea side. It is very comfortable. Unfortunately I could not use all facilities, like Swimming pool or profit from more time in the Hotel. It is however good value for money and the food has been very good. I had wished that the wifi would have better work in my room. It was either too slow or too weak for being used in my room.

We booked a break here at the last minute and rooms were starting to get scarce in the Santa Cruz area. The main criteria we used were close to the airport and the town centre and Hotel Taburiente Playa is a 10 minute drive from both. I was a little concerned that noise from the airport would be a problem but I didn't notice it at night, most of the flights are prop planes between the islands rather than large jets. The interior of the hotel is a little characterless for my tastes but immaculately clean and all of the staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner buffets both have a wide variety of foods and there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance if you do get bored of the offerings. The H10 shares facilities with a neighbouring hotel and has 2 large pools, a children's pool and two smaller pools for lounging in. It's a short walk from one of the few beaches on the island although you may prefer the pool as the beach has quite strong breakers.

I really liked the hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. They had a great pool, it was right on the beach and walking distance to some natural rock pools. The staff was very friendly and spoke English.

I stayed only one night but chose the hotel due to its close proximity to the airport. I flew in late and was impressed with the hotel which is one of the larger hotels in La Palma. I would definitely stay again.

Poor wifi

The hotel is very spacious, with huge public areas that have computers and comfortable seating. The hotel is built on the shores of the Atlantic with terrific views of the ocean. The restaurant features excellent breakfasts and dinners in buffet style. The breakfast is free, and the dinner costs only a very modest $15.00. The wide selection of food is overwhelming. The hotel is in a quiet area, with very little traffic. It is only minutes away from Santa Cruz and the airport. The staff were very helpful, and all spoke the English language. The hotel has four elevators, so you do not have to wait long for access. The beaches are within walking distance.

Very nice place and splendid location in front of the ocean, the hotel staff is most helpful and very friendly. This hotel was a very nice experience!

This hotel is excellent value for money, has two swimming pools outside (one heated in winter) and a splendid location at the oceanfront, close to the airport as well as within easy reach of the city of Santa Cruz. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The restaurant offers meals in buffet style with a large variety of tasty and natural food products. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Several great excursions/interesting sites within ~1 hr of driving.
