Check-in a bit laborious but you get used to that. Very smart hotel, nice room with balcony. The “mini-bar” actually means Room Service - a tad disappointing if you’re hoping to start your stay with a nice cold one from the fridge! Breakfast scrum was never enjoyable but the variety on offer was fine. Complimentary coffee a nice touch. Evening entertainment is not what you choose a hotel for. They tried hard, but it wasn’t great. Definitely for an older audience. Nice pool area, keenly priced drinks and helpful staff. Overall, a really good experience.

Very quiet, breakfast good, evening meal just OK. Busy and big dinning room. Good comfortable room nice bath. Very good outside areas overlooking sea.

Evening entertainment dreadful....really bad. Not enough bar staff so have to wait ages for drinks! Hotel is not about the customer experience but about their “rules”! Food was awful. It was mostly fried or swimming in fat. There were no decent vegetables just steamed they were all mixed with dairy especially cheese. Why couldn’t we have just healthy steamed veg?? If they did put plain veg out it was cold with the salad! Cold broccoli straight from the fridge!!!! Pools were very clean but the supposedly heated pool was as cold as the other pools! When I checked out they tried to charge me for a sauna I didn’t have so be careful what’s added to your room! Would never go back

Stayed here in February 2017 and held slight reservations on returning but glad we did in October 2017. Now that the building work on the rooms on the other side of the hotel and the adjacent pools are almost complete it is a lot more pleasent to sit out. They have at last replaced the grotty carpet by the waterfall and in the main room walkways. A vast improvement. Although they were replacing some of the floor in the restaurant while we were there this was done without too much inconvenience. Again went all inclusive and found the food even better than last time and it wasn't bad then. Not returning in February 2018 as couldn't get a flight. Would only stay at the hotel in low season. The restaurant can get a bit crowded and breakfast is a bit of a bun fight as it is included in all tarrifs so everyone has breakfast. Still it is fun to watch other guests on B&B basis look as innocent as they can sneaking food out of the restaurant for later. I think with the extra rooms and the hotel full the resteraunt would be hard pushed to cope. That said the staff cannot faulted, waiting, bar and cleaning staff although those on reception could be a little more cheerful. Able to get wifi anywhere in the hotel so great but still charging for safes in the room - a bit of an outdated concept. Should stop charging for safes in room - All in all had a great week.

This is a disappointing hotel since they consider themselves 4 stars 1) There are multiple maintenance issue in the room and halls Needs repainting Rust Hall carpets warn through to the backing 2) There are no internal phone numbers given to contact Front Desk, Room Service, etc No numbers on the phone and no numbers on paper or in a reference book, spoke to the front desk about this and was told this is correct and others have complained about it

The hotel itself is wonderful. The only beach is small and a bit far; the bigger beach is in the city, outside comfortable walking distance. But if you don't want to walk to the beach and back a lot, the hotel itself and its facilities is excellent. We used it as a base for trips around the island and it was well located for that.

My husband and I enjoyed our week stay. My overall hotel experience was excellent. Firstly, all the staff are friendly, efficient and smart. They make you feel very welcome in a professional manner. The hotel has a gorgeous lobby that then extends to a staircased courtyard style with lots of hanging green garlands and a waterfall that leads you to the restaurant and outside space. Our room was comfortable and a nice size. We had a table and chairs on the balcony. I felt that the two plug sockets could have been fitted in better positions and maybe one more. The bathroom was lovely with a walk in shower but the hairdryer was not powerful enough for me so I gave up using it as it took too long to dry my hair. The bed was super comfortable. Our room was tidied every day and immaculately done. We had breakfast in the restaurant. It was buffet style and had everything you could think of that you would want to eat for breakfast. The staff replaced deminishing stock before it ran out mostly and with ease and not getting in the way. As you finished your plate it would be taken away soon after to leave you able to go get more with a fresh plate. Seeing the numerous staff they have on duty, it is a well well oiled machine. I was very impressed how good and attentive the restaurant staff were. The hotel bar was a lovely evening. Outside, the hotel has two adult pools. I only swam in the heated one. The hotel is well situated for this small place of Los Cancajos.

Very pleasant first stay in La Palma and H10 Taburiente. The hotel is good value for money, the staff is very friendly and the food is of good quality and never repetitive.

Slightly tired hotel but very clean. Great friendly helpful staff. Perfect location for the beach close by, and a handful of local bars. Nothing for kids to do other than the pools which were very good. Plenty of sunbrds. AI is a bit basic but ok. Unspoiled location, perfect for quiet getaway, la Palma is not commercialized and retains its Canarian charm. Would definitely go back
