Inn at Big White

We went up for a long weekend of skiing. This hotel is perfectly situated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel common spaces and rooms are clean. The room was well layers out. The bed was a bit worn and uncomfortable but we were otherwise satisfied!

Spent 3 nights for skiing. Nice underground parking. Ski storage on parking level and exit to the outside. Not real convenient for ski in/out but wasn't that far to walk to the village (100 meters). Room nicely appointed with table and chairs plus 2 comfortable arm chairs. Couldn't adjust the heat in the room, could only turn the gas fireplace on and off as needed. Room way too warm even without turning on the fireplace. Lots of drawers for clothes, a few hangers. Medium size vanity counter in the bathroom, tub and shower combo. Kitchenette was handy.

Had a great 5 nights at this hotel. The room was large and clean, and had a desk and several chairs which was great (this is true of the room I stayed in at least). There was also a gas fire effect heater in the corner which kept the room warm and cosy. Great flatscreen TV, view onto the pool. I was very happy with my stay, the only gripes I have are that there is only one lift which the staff including cleaners use too (no dedicated service lift) and it is very slow so you'll be waiting around for a lift to grab your skis and might have to squeeze in with the cleaners' trolley. Also I once left a tip for the cleaners and came back to my room only being half cleaned which was strange - I left no further tip after this! The pool and hot tub are great, nice and warm and open for most of the day, not just the evening like some ski hotels I have stayed in. It's not quite ski in ski out as you have to cross a road to get in and out of the hotel but this is probably true for several hotels in Big White. There's a large ski and snowboard storage room but no boot heating/storage that I could find. The in-house restaurant and bar the Blarney Stone is also fab, some great food to be found there.

I had a wonderful three days at the Inn. Went from Victoria to meet up with my son and his young family who came from Toronto, and had rented a condo. My room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. While not overlooking the main mountain area, the views were still great and though not used on this visit, the fireplace was a cozy touch. TV and wifi reception excellent. My decision to stay separately was a great choice, peace quiet and the opportunity to ' 'babysit' my younger grandson in the fantastic outdoor pool! Had we had more time, the the older grandson (6) would have explored the games room more fully! The staff are wonderful, so warm and friendly, BUT the all out winner is the in room COFFEE.

Not bad but not great.. You get what you pay for but the staff were great and the location was stellar.

Great location and affordable with amenities if you're looking to spend a few days skiing/snowboarding.

The Inn at Big White is an average hotel in a great location. The front desk staff was helpful, and the room was okay. For what is was, the price is a bit steep. We found the check in and check out times were unusually restrictive (check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 10am). The rooms were not equipped with enough bedding (though the front desk found us some when asked) and the phone in room was not working. Housekeeping left a note that they couldn't clean our room as "valuables" were left on the bed (some clothes). I have never seen that before. The location was great though as it was right in Big White Village.
