Pousada do Marvão - Charming Hotel

立地はすばらしいが、設備がやや古い。

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel which is in a brilliant location, with wonderful views from the dining room. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room was a bit small and dark ( but that is the nature of this type of property in Portugal), and we were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal . The staff were knowledgeable about my gluten free needs, but there was no GF bread available. Breakfast was excellent.

Narrow, one-way, steep, winding cobblestone roads, what's not to love? Been getting used to that but the fellow who checked us in kindly parked our car for us rather than send me back out there. :-) Offered a view upgrade for €20, well spent, should have booked it in the first place. Breakfast room had a great view too, most memorable thing about breaky.

Når først du har fundet hotellet på toppen af klippen i en af de smalle gader, begynder eventyret at udfolde sig. Udsigten fra hotellet er betagende. Byen og gaderne der ender oppe på den centrale plads under borg muren er betagende smuk!

ポウサダということで期待して宿泊したが、宿泊施設自体には特色がない。レストランやその横のパブリックスペースからの眺めがすばらしいため、宿泊しなくともランチで利用するだけで十分楽しめると思う。朝食はその眺めのよいレストランでいただくので、とても気持ちがよく、いろんな種類のメニューがあって楽しかった。

部屋の空気が非常に乾燥していて朝起きた時に喉がやや痛くなったのが残念でした。ただその他は特に問題ありませんでした。町の雰囲気も良く滞在としては良かったです。

Very close to castle ( a must see in Portugal) but either rent a small car (there are 2 parking spaces at this hotel) or park in the lot lower down (where tour buses park) as the streets are very narrow (typical of all the charming old villages and must see sections of many of the towns/cities on The Iberian Peninsula).

A vista do local é deslumbrante. Vale a pena curtir o visual e jantar no restaurante do hotel. A equipe é super atenciosa ! Voltarei mais vezes.

Don’t drive up to hotel. Park in lot and carry your bags.

Top rate hotel, staff very helpful and efficient. Marvao and the surrounding area is a great place to visit.
