Totally enjoyed the "old world charm" that abounds at Cambridge Beaches. Casual chic defines this resort. Such a lovely locale.

Beaches, restaurants, hotel room

Repeat visits are no longer a mystery. This is a fabulous resort with real personality (as opposed to name brand venues). My daughter and I stayed in a 1-bedroom looking west, Room 221, and could happily enjoy the view when we weren't at the beach or restaurants. We ate at all the venues, and the food consistently met our high standards. We also had room service, rented a mini car and used the spa. It was exceptionally relaxing and we will return. Many thanks to all the gracious and cheerful staff.

The location is fantastic. Beaches on both sides, pristine views, not crowded, the staff is fantastic. Incredibly friendly and kind. A well managed hotel. The food options are great. 4 restaurants with gourmet food options and great in room dining as well. Couldn’t be happier to stay here

I don't enough words to describe what an amazing experience we had. All I can say is the staff are AMAZING. Extremely friendly, professional, and helpful! Foods are great and plenty of choice among all 4 restaurants. Afternoon complimentary tea and cookies/scones helps you to regain your energy for the night. The hotel has everything you need! Sort of 4 beaches to choose from and 1 pool. Crystal water with plenty to see, especially if you like to snorkel! Grocery store nearby. Recommend!!

Cambridge Beaches is one of the great places to stay in the world. I almost don't want to review it because I like it as a slightly hidden gem. Then again, the property needs to thrive and everyone should benefit from the opportunity to experience one of life's great pleasures. We will certainly return (again).

During my recent stay in Bermuda, I was impressed by the hotel’s design—it felt classic, cohesive, and very well thought-out. As someone who enjoys home design, I found it fun to observe the details in each room. A special mention goes to our own room: despite having neighbors across from us and above us, I couldn’t hear a thing (though I was convinced we would). The soundproofing was truly excellent. Unfortunately, our arrival experience left us a bit disappointed. At check-in, since our room wasn’t ready, I gave the front desk a champagne bottle to be put on ice and delivered once we settled in. However, when we finally got into our room, the champagne wasn’t there. Hungry, we decided to head to Pastel for lunch, but when we returned around 5 p.m., the bottle still hadn’t been delivered. We followed up with calls each time, but when it was finally brought to us, it came without an apology, which was disheartening given the build-up. Another point of concern was the beach maintenance. On Sunday morning, the beach in front of Pastel was filled with algae and debris, and I noticed two large jellyfish washed ashore. I mentioned this at the front desk, pointing out the potential safety hazard, especially since families with children were staying at the hotel. Sadly, when we returned from our jet ski outing, nothing had been done, so we had to use the beach in front of Breezes instead. On a much brighter note, the servers truly made our stay. They were attentive, warm, and went above and beyond to take care of us. A highlight was them speaking Punjabi with my partner, which made the experience even more personal and memorable. Their service stood out so much that I believe they deserve a raise or at least a special recognition for their dedication.

I think this is a nice place to stay for a 3-5 night stay where you just want to chill in one place. I'm torn because some aspects are 5-star while others are 3-star. This place has an opportunity to be exceptional, and it's just not there (especially for the cost). Positives: - Beautiful property with nice amenities - We were in a 2-room cottage which was spacios and very nice. Would recommend something West-facing (we were on the East side) for the sunsets if you have a choice - Breakfasts were excellent - Sunken Harbor restaurant food was excellent. They had some very innovative dishes and service was okay - Breezes is chill and very nice for a sunset meal. Meals could have been better, but the atmosphere is great. - Spa service is excellent and reasonably priced for Bermuda - Housekeeping, pool, beach, and bell staff are excellent and very friendly! - We had fun playing tennis, pickleball, and croquet. While not the 'best' facilities, they were perfect for our family. Areas for improvement: - Very little effort explaining amenities or any other introduction to the property. It would be great if someone could spend some time pointing things out. - The front desk seemed put-off when we asked. - Some of the other staff seemed put-off and couldn't be bothered, even with simple requests, questions, or idle conversation (bar) - Some of the food was hit-and-miss. Sunken Harbor and breakfast were great, Pastels and Breezes were so-so - We stayed 8 nights and while the property is beautiful, getting anywhere else on the island is a little inconvenient and costly. For a short stay, this property is ideal, for longer stays where you want to explore a little, there may be better choices. - Some of the buildings / grounds are very well maintained while others could use a little TLC. Overall, for what we paid, I would expect to find a staff that was invested in making the experience exceptional and a little more 'personal'. Outside of the property itself, we could have gotten the 'experience' we had staying at any chain-hotel (marriott, hilton, etc) on any beach which made it a little disappointing.
