"Nice camp near little Petra"

7.0

Peaceful location in the mountains near Little Petra. Good beds and very friendly staff. Good dinner buffet at JD15.

Very intermittent hot water. Generator noise.

The nice common area tent with Bedouin tea, fire place and games, the view, the nice and warm welcome of Sam making sure all guests are well. It is very convenient to visit Petra

Better to have a 4x4 in case of rain !

-location -breakfast -dinner -staff the camp is new and well decorated, we also asked Mohammed to prepare a birthday cake for a friend and he was so nice by accepting without a blink. The food was delicious and the staff incredible. Thanks Petra Wassaif Camp for the magic moments!

"Great escape from busy Petra"

9.0

Secluded, therefore very quiet camp just a few miles from Petra. The last bit of road is not tarred which was no problem at all even for a small sedan. Camp staff was more than friendly and welcoming, great dinner and breakfast. Would have loved a couple of beers (even alcohol-free) after a long day at the ruins but apparently you can bring your own. If you don't want to stay in busy Petra, this is the place!

"Wyjątkowe miejsce na nocleg przed i po zwiedzaniu Petry"

10.0

Kindness and hospitality. Mohammed and Sam do their best to make your stay pleasant. Good communication before arrival. Beautiful and magical place. Just perfect for seeing Petra. I wouldn't change for any hotel. Tents and beds comfortable. All very clean. Hot water not all the time but enough to take shower - you have to be aware that you are far away in the mountain. No problem with electrisity or Wi-fi. Brekfast and dinner very tasty and full of local specialities. Easy check in-out. Last part of the road little hard but even small car and during the night we managed. Camp is close to the back entrance to Perta - we recomended that way for visiting but use some kind of official transport to drive you closer (at ticket office) for 5 JOD per person.

Colud be soap in the bathroom.

The owner was very helpful and concerned about customer's needs. I had an issue while travelling so I needed to change my route and transportation and he helped me with that. Then he checked a few days later if everything was ok! The place is beautiful if you want to experience a Bedouin night. The dinner was very good.

You need a car to stay there, otherwise is 15/20 min away from Petra and you need a lift. The camping offer lifts for 10jr. Ask them for a hitter because it's cold at night in March.

"When making our plans, we left open the option to stay a second night. One was enough. Make sure you ask for hot water a"

Sam was very nice. The “lobby area” was nice and the fireplace a cozy place to sit and have tea. The beds were very comfortable and a duvet and blanket were provided to assure warmth. The heater worked very well

This property runs on a generator. We were informed of the hours it would run at check-in (around 7 pm to 9 am or so). We had no hot water for a shower. In talking to a guest the next morning, she informed us of the need to let the staff know you’d like hot water (she wasn’t informed on her arrival either). she did say that even though she requested hot water on subsequent nights, her water didn’t work. Also, no bottled water provided in the tent for brushing teeth, etc. The buffet dinner was 15 JOD per person…several salads, soup, rice, and a lamb and chicken dish. the food was just okay. No bottled water provided on the table. Breakfast was a buffet and included in the room price. it was marginal.
