Amazing camp with stunning view and a wonderful location! Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Would recommend going there if you like peaceful places.

Water presure is bad and there is no inbetween between boiling hot water and cold water in the shower.

Wassaif camp is in such a secluded, tranquil space. The decor is stunning & traditional of the culture. The rooms were perfectly decorated, comfortable & clean. Staff were very helpful, informative & made our st y very special

We had some expectations beforehand and they were more than fulfilled. The owner and employees of the camp were always there for us when we needed them and even fulfilled special wishes. They gave us very helpful advice and we had some good conversations. In general, the room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We also loved the view from the hill at the camp during sunset.

Our stay at Petra Wassaif Camp was a memorable experience. The camp's proximity to Petra, just 20 minutes away, made it a convenient base for exploring the ancient city. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. Additionally, I must highlight the exceptional gesture of the camp staff. Despite our early departure at 5 in the morning, they kindly arranged for breakfast to be prepared for us.

However, there were a couple of downsides. Firstly, the dinner at the camp was quite expensive. Secondly, the tents lacked soundproofing, which meant that noise from neighboring tents or common areas could be heard, affecting the overall tranquility of the stay. Nonetheless, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience at Petra Wassaif Camp was positive. The friendly host and convenient location made it a worthwhile choice for travelers visiting Petra.

The staff is polite and friendly

Dont get me wrong, the staff is very nice and friendly. But the hotel review also includes other aspects of your stay and I feel obliged to warn others. They run on a generator that goes off at mid-night and you are left to simmer inside a non-ventilated tent. The quality of the rooms is very poor, with no cleaining service. We were the only guests in the whole place for 2 nights, and when we asked for an additional towel they said they ration them and wouldnt give us anymore. The breakfast for 2 consisted of 2 boiled eggs, old white bread, a bowl of olives, and some cheap cheese. The dinner is a bit better, but still not 30 JOD quality worth. Not quality related, but keep in mind that the camp is quite isolated, so you need to have a private vehicle to access Petra, which is a 20min away drive. The hotel can help you organize for a taxi, which is also a good option.
