Summer Wind Budget Motel

The bed was incredibly comfortable, water pressure and temp were amazing. Person at the desk was very nice.

Gross towels and mysterious red stain on mattress pad

Great location, great price. It was a budget motel, like it says in the name, and I didn't expect more than that. If you don't mind the place being kinda scruffy, it's a bed that's laundered with no bedbugs and a working bathroom and shower and minifridge. That's what we were looking for.

Coffee maker had mold in it, somebody had tried to make coffee in the water tank of the device with a coffee bag and had just left it in there to generate mold. Light fixture in the bathroom was dangling/unattached. We could hear the chirping of a smoke detector with its battery dying through the very thin walls for our whole stay. Not sure what room it was coming from. Our own smoke detector wasn't the culprit--it was sitting on the dresser with its battery taken out when we came in the room. Some stains on the counter, and just general low-rent building type stuff. It's a budget motel.

Room was clean and was advertised

Drug addicts in parking lot all night. Opening and closing their car doors. Hard to sleep with that outside your room. Also there is no air conditioning.

The staff Checking us in was ok. Her boss, however, was a rude, dismissive oaf.

The left over chicken from a prior guest in the fridge and a 55 gal. Garbage bag for a one gallon pail.

No breakfast served at this place..no waste basket in room.. Rooms need to be upgraded.. I guess you get what you pay for.

Older motel..needing to uograde.
