"Great week. If you have kids, they'll love this place"

8.0

Just home from a week at Bouganvilla. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment, which was basic, but clean and comfy. Ideal location on the complex, half way between the nighttime entertainment and water park to the left, and the main pool and restaurants to our right. The only downfall for us, was the food wasn't always as hot as we'd like. But two excellent restaurants to eat in. Breakfasts were our favourite. All mealtimes were brilliantly catered for, alot of choice, and excellent staff who were always clearing tables and making sure spillages were cleared, food options topped up often. Soft drinks and wine, beer, sangria on self serve taps along with fruit juice and water. We spent majority of our time in the water park side. Much more relaxed in that end. The nighttime entertainment was really good. Only for an hour until 11pm, with an outdoor bar within the area. It is a huge hotel complex and in parts was very busy and noisy. But it's the school hols and the place is built for families. And for that reason, it is an ideal place. Well done to all the staff, who work incredibly hard to ensure we have an enjoyable stay.👏

Family of five... 10, 13 and 15. We could not fault the resort. Staff, food, pool and entertainment were very good. As far as an all inclusive holiday goes it ticked all boxes. Rooms are basic but spotless, cleaned daily, new towels. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

"An enjoyable week with the family."

8.0

We spent a week here as a family of four. Overall it was a good experience and for what we paid it was really good value for money. It's a big complex which holds alot of people ! Perfect for families and groups but if you are looking for a quiet get away this isn't the place for you. For a 3 star I was really impressed with the food here, 3 eateries which offer a good choice, My wife is celiac and there was plenty for her to choose from, in the pizzeria they will make fresh gluten free pasta and pizza on request. Lots of dishes are also labelled with dietary requirements. We mostly used the main pool which is a good size although it does get busy, there was always room to throw a ball around. I like that they allow inflatables and ball games, always a couple of lifeguards on duty as well. The splashworld slides are great and a real added bonus, my daughter loved them. I can't comment on the entertainment as we didn't really use it, but we did take a walk round on a couple of occasions, what I will say is I noticed the queue for drinks was very long 20-30 people, that did put me off spending time round there. Because of the size and amount of people here yes the restaurants are busy and yes you will queue for a couple of minutes to get a drink from the bar but it never really affected us enough to be an issue. Our room was fine, 1 bed apartment with a couple of pull out beds in the lounge area. Yes it was a bit dated but clean and the aircon worked well, we were on the first floor in a small block I will say the rooms are quite noisy. We heard everything going on above us, which did get a bit annoying in the mornings as they were up early and we are not early risers ! They do a lot of things right here and all the staff work very hard to keep this place running smoothly. If you are looking for a decently priced holiday with good food and drink with lots going on which is close to a town (with a free bus there and back) you really can't go wrong here.

"Brilliant hotel, so many good points"

8.0

Just back from the 2nd visit to this hotel - one in October 2024 and one July 2025. Overall I absolutely love this hotel, I have now been twice and will definitely return. Rooms - the only negative I have seen others say is that the rooms are a little dated and while yes, I can see a bit of a refurb wouldnt do any harm, they are absolutely spotless and fit for purpose. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment with my partner and 2 kids (age 6&7), they were spacious, comfy and had everything we needed. Included handy essentials such as hairdryer, fridge, cooker, microwave if needed. Cleaners left it absolutely spotless every time we had the room cleaned too (3 days out of the 7 but you can have them every single day if you want) Food - there are 3 evening restaurants and we found something every night that we all liked, and sometimes our kids can be quite fussy, but they were always happy. Breakfast was delicious and so much choice, from a full fry up every day to the usual cereals, meats, fruits etc. We picked between the different restaurants every evening for dinner, our favourite was the pizzeria which not only had amazing pizza but also the likes of pastas, different meats each night etc. The ‘Romani’ restaurant had lots of choice and usually a different theme each night, even a Sunday roast on Sunday! The snack bar by the splash park was also very handy and the kids loved a hotdog and chips most days from there as they didn’t want to be dragged away from the pools too long. The food was never anything fancy but for a 3* we were happy with so much choice and it was very tasty, never had any complaints. The queues in all restaurants can be quite big at peak times but we found going around 6-7 was a little quieter, although even when we experienced queues they weren’t that bad. Drinks - we really enjoyed the beer which is Mahou (typical Spanish beer) but also liked some of the cocktails particularly Vodka Sun. Some of the fancier cocktails you had to pay for but there were at least 5 included in the all inclusive. The drinks queues can get quite busy at night times so I’d recommend taking a cup holder (can get from Amazon or from the Spar at the hotel) so you can get 4 at a time, saves you queuing constantly. Pools/Splashpark - these were honestly incredible for the kids, I’ve never been somewhere that had so much choice in one hotel and it would keep kids of all ages busy. My kids absolutely loved the bubble pool and waterslides, we spent most of our time there but there is also great games and entertainment in the big pool and some great smaller pools for little ones. You would honestly never get bored here (providing your kids like water of course) it was great. The lifeguards were always on watch, one thing I will say is some parents sadly not caring what their own children are up to around the pools which is what I think half the problem is. Entertainment - there is a kids disco every night which is great for any age up to 10 I’d say, cheesy old holiday songs and dancing that my kids loved. They have a giant mascot ‘Globy’ that all the kids loved. After this was bingo every night from 9pm which was a big hit to a lot of people, €12 per strip but there was always big prizes, around €400-600 for a full house every night. There was various shows on every night after the bingo and these were your usual holiday shows, cheesy and enjoyable. There was so much for the kids to do in the evenings - an arcade, trampolines, mini motorbikes, bouncy castles, little toy stalls, face painting - one thing I will say is take a fair bit of spending money for this as it is not part of the all inclusive - I have seen some people complain about this part but in my opinion who cares? It’s worth taking a few extra euros to see your kids have fun. I’ve never experienced a hotel that has had so much to offer and given my kids so much excitement so I don’t mind paying a bit extra. Some other handy things to know - there is a shuttle bus to sa coma every 15 mins for free, we used this a couple of times it was very handy. You can walk too, we did a couple of times and it only took us about half an hour. I have seen so many bad reviews but I definitely wouldn’t listen to them. I have seen a few things mentioning fights etc and I can agree that some of the people that go abroad drink far too much and make an idiot of themselves - we saw a few having one too many drinks but at the end of the day that’s selfish people and definitely not the hotels fault. One thing I will say is that if you can, go when it isn’t peak school holiday season. We are Scottish and went the first week of July, when the English schools hadn’t broken up for summer yet. On the last night of our stay we could tell it was getting far busier and I can imagine it could be too busy when it’s full capacity. All in all we absolutely love this hotel, sure there could be a few minor tweaks to improve but we made memories here and I have never been somewhere better for families. We will definitely be back.

Just back 2 days ago.Hotel spotless.Travelled with a party of 10.The kids absolutely loved it from waterpark to pools. We only went over in big tent on one night as it was too busy.Ques for a drink horrendous not enough bar staff serving for amount at hotel. We ended up buying drinks to get served. The kids loved trampolines and the big balls in pool.Food was lovely all 3 restraunts and snack bars big hit.Always something to eat.We tended to stay at pool bar in evening. One thing would of been nice a singer a few nights a week.I do not understand the bad reviews especially about food as with choice off 3 restraunts it was lovely serving different foods throughout day.I would definitely stay again with children but if holidaying as a couple would pick a different hotel. That is due to our preference .

"Good"

6.0

We stayed her for a week July 2025 as a family of 4 - 2 adults 2 kids (11 & 14 yrs). Pool and slide area are good, lots of sunbeds at both and no sunbed wars. What I will say thought is I think the number of people who sit and smoke on their sunbeds is disgusting especially given how many children are about - we were subject to a group next to us one day who smoked all day long, our towels were stinking come the end of the day and my son was nearly burnt by cigarette ash on more than one occasion. Food was fine - always something to eat, not a great deal of choice mainly at dinner time and food never overly warm. Restaurants can get very busy and chaotic. For an all inclusive I did fine the access to drinks not as easy as a lot of other hotels I’ve been too - I was refused juice at the bar one day and told to use machine but I wanted a cold drink with ice not a warm fizzy drink in a paper cup! One big thing that really lets this hotel down is the staff a lot of them are very rude and ignore you. I personally would not come back here or recommend to friends/family.

"Lovely Family Holiday — Mostly!"

8.0

Just got back from a great week away. The hotel was really clean — maids came in daily, left fresh towels, made up the beds, and stocked up the toilet rolls. The pools were fantastic and always spotless. Slides were a big hit with the kids, and the WiFi actually worked properly — and it’s free! The food offering was smaller than at other resorts we’ve stayed at, but, the pizza from the on-site pizzeria made up for it. It was so good we ended up eating there most days. Sunbeds were usually available, although the front row by the pool does get "claimed" early — as in, Olympic-level towel placement starts around 7am. By 9, the rest are usually gone too. That said, the waterpark area (which opens at 10) always had beds, and the pool there is a bit shallower — perfect for younger kids who aren’t strong swimmers yet. Rooms are basic but had everything we needed. The kids’ beds varied — we had two slightly upgraded camp-style beds, and our 9 and 12-year-olds slept fine on them for the week. Now, for the entertainment portion of our stay: nightmare neighbours. Two nights before we left, we were blessed — truly blessed — with a large group moving in both below and next door to us. I can only assume they were part of some door-slamming appreciation society. Honestly, it was a masterclass. Every door was treated like it had personally insulted their family and needed to be punished. Slammed morning, noon, and night — with such intensity that I’m not entirely sure the hinges at No. 39 Rosa Block survived the week. And then there was the doorbell. Used not as a communication tool, but more as an experimental musical instrument. Pressed repeatedly, relentlessly — followed by banging, shouting, more banging, and the occasional scream of someone's name through the corridor. Subtlety was not on their packing list. Reception unfortunately said they were fully booked and couldn’t move us, although curiously, the room on the opposite side of the hallway (not attached to the Doorbell Orchestra) remained empty for the next 24hours. That was a bit disappointing. Oh, and our son came down with either a stomach bug or food poisoning and was really unwell for about three days. Could’ve been something he ate or just bad luck, interestingly it didn’t spread to the rest of us, so maybe the food? All in all, it was still a good holiday and the resort itself is really nice for families — just maybe bring earplugs... and a spare set of hinges, just in case.

"Hotel, take control! The feral masses ruin it for the few."

6.0

Am currently still here for another week but wanted to flag the following: Please get your staff to stand up and take action against those guests who Ruin it for the rest of us! Stop serving blind-drunk people; Stop sopping wet topless guests into the restaurants and walking out with mountains of food only to leave it around the pool edge on china plates; Have more staff cleaning the grounds and litter-picking - guest are packed in like sardines and the place gets dirty fast; Stop guests who use pools when they are closed - there will be an accident; Thefts - we have had items taken from our terrace. More upholding of standards to stamp out poor behaviour is needed. General: Better alcohol needed - vodka, white rum and other spirits un-drinkable as is the beer. Wine only bearable with lemonade. Spending in the multiple on-site shops to buy drinks is not fair when we have paid all inclusive! More staff giving gardens and common areas well-needed TLC (dead-heading and feeding the few plants that are there); Sofas in apartments all need deep cleaning - they are black on armrests and cushions from years of use and filth. EVERYTHING IS A PAID EXTRA - all activities for kids in evening are extras from 5-10 euros including animation “face-painting” - I use the term loosely. Stop trying to capitalise on everyone, it’s bad enough that drinks are so poor. An average family will pay 200 euros per week on the extras. Compared to other Globales, this one is poor in comparison. And these were 3 stars so please don’t think I’m expecting the world. It’s a nice location, good pools And water park, food is good, staff are lovely so management need to rally the troops and start to raise standards so everyone can have a nice time.
