Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant

Great getaway. We had room #1 which had a king size bed and a very large bathroom. We loved it. The Inn is across the street to the beach entrance which was a bonus. Make sure to eat in the restaurant and you can BYOB. Very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed a three day stay in the very charming Peter Shields Inn. Staff was attentive and accommodating. Food in the PSI restaurant was exceedingly good-- a sophisticated corn soup that was just out of this world! The Inn also obligingly provides bikes and beach equipment with a smile and ready access. Complimentary afternoon wine and cheese a very nice touch as well. Room was quite comfortable and well appointed with pillow top mattress and nicer toiletries. All in all, a very nice place to stay that successfully integrates the feel of old time Cape May with modern amenities and décor.

Lovely inn with private rooms. Nice touches include a daily wine and cheese hour and a hospitality kitchen stocked with beverages, homemade cookies and snacks.

Hotel was nice. Room was very small. Had to climb 3 flights of stairs. They lost our dinner reservation (which was confirmed before we arrived), and it was for our 30th wedding anniversary. NOT good. They said they could fit us in but we declined. For the money, these few disappointments took away from the experience.

Girls night get away in Room number 7 "pink room" on 3rd floor. King size bed, fireplace, remodeled bathroom and dormer room view of the ocean. Snacks, coffee, tea, and soft drinks self serve provided. Beautiful experience. Included wine and cheese from 4:30 - 6:30 pm and breakfast from 8:30 to 10am. Free towels, umbrella and chairs for the beach directly across from the inn. All and all worth the money. Tip: dine early on Sunday - Friday from 5 - 6pm and get the pris fix 3 course dinner for $40.00 per person at PSI Zagat rated restaurant. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was very well done.... breakfast that was yummy, on a porch overlooking the ocean. Beach time all day with chairs and towels, even a bike to take a spin. Wine and cheese @ 4:30pm. The beds were comfortable and the room was adorable. We loved the INN! They even mailed me my bathing suit that I had left behind!

What a beautiful home overlooking the ocean. Our room was very large, oceanfront, with a very large bath & fireplace. In the hallway, wine & cheese is served every evening. This leads to a second floor balcony. Front porch is full of comfortable wicker furniture. There is also a fine-dining restaurant here, open to the public. Breakfast is included for guests only. What a comfortable, classy establishment.
