Michele Guest House

We wanted somewhere close to the railway station ready to catch the shuttle to the airport the next morning. This place was perfect. 5 minute stroll from the train station. The communication from the host was amazing and we felt welcomed like family. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very quirky and original which is what we like. Great shower and bathroom and the bed was super comfy. We took a stroll to the river in the evening to eat which was lovely walking through the shopping area then into a hub of bars and restaurants off the tourist trail. Only a 12 minute stroll

Nothing. It was all perfect.

This property is in a perfect location very close to the train station and a short walk to a long pedestianised area of Pisa that leads right through town to the Duomo. The owner wasn't available so organised a friend to meet us with keys and show us where to go on a map - this was extrememly helpful, he could have left us key collection details but chose instead to offer this help and it was appreciated. The room itself is really lovely, not your standard modern IKEA flat, but decorated with style and care. Nice to be able to have a cup of coffee on arrival before heading to the shop for supplies. Several mini markets very close by. Quality furniture and equipment, VERY comfortable bed, stylish bathroom, nice kitchen area, very quiet.

Whilst the location is perfect and once in the property everything feels very safe, the road to the property feels a little bit questionable. It was not an issue for ourselves as a couple, but I would not like to think that my 22 year old daughter might walk there alone.

Michele kept in good communication with me prior to the stay and met me at the door when I arrived. He then showed me the room, gave me the keys and explained how everything worked. He gave me advice on the area and on the best pasta and geleteria. He also rang around to find out what time the city walls closed for visitors. His English is very good and he explained everything perfectly. The room is very modern and has everything you need including a power shower. The blinds ensure that the room is dark at night and despite a thunderstorm I slept really well. It was just a few minutes walk from the station which was great for an early flight the next morning.

The area is a little run down and there was an awful smell in the foyer of the apartment building but once in the room you forget about that. The price was a little high and I have stayed in similar rooms in the area for much less but I wanted to be close to the station.

The terrace was lovely and confortable. A lot of thought has gone into maximising space. It had quality furnishings and appliances as well. Michele and Flavia were lovely and so helpful

Think there should be more cutlery especially for chopping food so some sharp knives etc would have been great. I little pocket door between sitting area and sleeping area would be good or if there was a way to darken out the light coming from bathroom area.

This is the perfect location for visiting Pisa, but also for day-long travels to Florence and all the northern Tuscany. As promised it's really close to the train station, but calm and quiet. I also felt safe in the neighbourhood. The studio is well equipped (including coffee machine :)), warm in February (it's not always the case in winter months in Italy!) and Michele is a super nice and caring host. Check-in and check-out perfectly smooth and chatting about Italy and Italians (and French people ;) was a nice bunus for me! :) I would deffinitely come back next time in Pisa/Tuscany.

Michele was an incredible host - very helpful at all times. The apartment was exactly as described and presented in photos. Bed was large and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Location was very close to the station and the sights.

The neighbourhood was quite dark at night time.
