Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre

Loved everything about the property. Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable; property was well maintained and comfortable; loved the nightly bonfires and special guests; also loved the Salty Dog Boat Tour available in the marina.

The hotel looks like it has just been taken over or is being refurbished - staff were starting to put new furniture out on the terrace, in mid-July. Reception staff were friendly and main reception and lounge areas were pleasant and clean. Our ocean view hotel room was quite dated and had zero sound proofing from people walking along the hallway. The complex is a huge undertaking; hopefully, these rooms can be refurbished by the owners given time. I booked the hotel as it had kids activities and pool areas, but it was actually exceptionally quiet when we were there, other than some groups of adults, so we didn't really use anything. It was generally a good central location for seeing local sights.

Wonderful weekend stay at this beautiful resort!

Staff are great to deal with. The property is no more then 15 minutes away from numerous small fishing towns with great restaurants. It is older but fairly well maintained. If you book through Expedia the breakfast is not included.

I was there on a very rainy weekend and enjoyed every minute. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, food was excellent near beautiful Mahone Bay for shopping and site seeing. Perfect location.
