"Completely pleasant supprise"

10.0

Yes OK so it's 3 star but honestly we had an amazing stay. The entertainment day and night was good. The selection and quality of food was great with a nice open feel to the restaurant. Every single member of staff were very pleasant and helpful with a smile. Plenty of out door space with plenty of sunbeds ,tables and chairs. 2 quite large pools. The entertainment team have games etc going on during the day. The only thing wrong was our room was a little dated and overlooked a roof but as we said we only really were in the room at night because you really want to be out on the terrace. Good selection of drinks, all inclusive until 12 at night. Now one thing and I seen this for many years. Don't book 3 star if you expect 5 star although I do think this hotel should be 4 stars.

"Great Three Star Hotel in a quiet location"

10.0

Last minute choice for some late summer sun. First time to Ibiza. Location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of San Antonio over on the East side. Family orientated hotel but hardly any there as they majornity where at school. Food excellent, rooms dated but are being updated, great views of the pool and a side sea view as well. Great evening entertainment and good drink selections. There is enough to day outside the hotel which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel front straight down the road. Great beaches and coves to find, and Santa Eulaliah is only a 1 euro 30 bus ride away.

"Great food"

10.0

Food at this hotel is higher standard than I expected. I have stayed in higher star rated hotels and had food which is equal in quality and variety to this hotel. The dining room staff are very efficient, plates cleared away very promptly. Restaurant staff are also very helpful if you need guidance on food allergies such as gluten free. The restaurant manager was able to confirm with the chef which items were gluten free and there was lots of choice. The bedroom decor was a little old fashioned and could do with upgrading. The bathroom also needed upgrading, but it is a 3 star hotel so you can’t expect luxury. Hotel was clean and tidy, and it’s in a great location for exploring Es Cana. If you plan on travelling further to other locations such as Ibiza Old Town or San Antonio, it might be too far away for convenience. Reception staff very knowledgable and helpful.

"Throughly enjoyed - would recommend"

10.0

Just returned from a weeks holiday. The staff were amazing. We are well travelled and got to say that the food was one of the best we have encountered. Always hot, plentiful and lots of choices. Our room was a little tired but we opted for the cheapest room when others available at a higher price. Whole hotel spotlessly clean. Tons of sunbeds and at anytime if the day plenty available. Entertainment again was really good.

"Excellent hotel"

8.0

My husband and I stayed for 9 nights at the beginning of September. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming,we requested a high floor and were allocated 6th. Room was spacious and clean. Food was always hot and replenished, with plenty of choice for all meals. The dining room staff work exceptionally hard and always greet you with a smile. Plenty of sun beds and contrary to a previous review there was no running to put towels out. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is the quality of the drinks. Beer was fine but spirits and cocktails were extremely weak.

I hope management reward them all.. ps escana is great location and great for really easy exploring by bus to ibiza town, St eulalia.. and portinax by taxi .. plus hippy market on door step

"Good and bad."

6.0

This is a long, but honest review. Please stick with it. Our first visit to Ibiza. We booked the Ereso based on the reviews on here and YouTube. We had a late flight and had a very long 2 hour transfer which stopped in Ibiza town, Santa Eulària and everywhere inbetween. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted and given a bag of food each which included a sandwich, fruit and a drink. We had room 123 on the first floor. It was described as a pool view room, but we could hardly see the pools, we had a great view of the tree outside the balcony though. We did have a partial view of the sea. Within literally 10 minutes of our arrival as we sat on the balcony with our sandwich, the bar across the top of the balcony balustrade fell off. Fortunately it fell inwards onto the balcony and not over it. If it’d fell over it would have hit and injured the smokers below. It glanced my wife but she was uninjured. We reported it immediately and it was fixed the following afternoon, but left the balcony balustrade very unsafe for a while. The room itself was ok. No kettle, but if you are on the first floor it’s easy to nip down for tea and coffee or hot water if you brought your own. Two single beds pushed together and made separately instead of a double. The room was spacious with plenty of sockets, fridge, ceiling fan, decent aircon. Lots of cupboard and drawer space. There’s a tv which we didn’t use. A safe that we also didn’t use. The bathroom had a shower over the bath which was brilliant. Powerful and easy to control temperature. We did have a dirty towel though. The room is over the doors into the pool/ pool bar space and the waft of smoke did come up. The worst thing was the non stop noise. From 10:30am until 11pm there was very loud music or entertainment blasting from the speakers. It was constant. Our electric tripped as I opened the fridge one day, but the fuse box is in the room which was easily reset. There is a queue to put towels out at 8am. Some people are there at 7:45am and then run like Mo Farrah to get their chosen spot. We only used the top pool as it was quieter with no kids although one family bought a noisy boy up towards the end of our time there. The pool was absolutely freezing. So cold you could hardly get in and certainly could not enjoy a swim. We used it just to cool off. The loungers are comfy and there was the odd plastic table dotted about too. Lots of flies around the pool. The snack bar / main pool area is spacious but can get crowded with sunbeds. The whole area has very loud music blasting out all day. How much of ABBA and the Beatles can you bear ! There is a covered shady area beside the pool bar which got popular. The token system for plastic drink beakers seemed to work well, but I would suggest taking your own one pint plastic beaker to save you going back to the bar all the time. I noticed some people had two beakers each. Good idea. The restaurant isn’t a restaurant. It’s a canteen. No restaurant would allow grown men in football shirts in for dinner, but here they do. Grown men in football strips is never a good look, at dinner it’s even worse. Breakfast is good with lots of hot full English items available, plus cereal, yogurt, fruit etc. Lunch not so good. There was only one good soup out of the 14 I tried over the week. The hot lunches weren’t great, I opted for a salad sandwich most lunchtimes (no salad cream though) Dinners had a theme of sorts sometimes. I had Chinese one evening which was so poor it went straight in the bin. You are never going hungry though. There’s plenty to choose from. The maitre d is very good, in fact all the canteen staff were very good. Plenty of drinks machines, but the coffee not great. Overall the hotel is spotlessly clean. The receptionists incredibly helpful. The music is too loud. Animation team members shouting into microphones hurts your ears. The location of the hotel is perfect. Beach 3 minutes away, shop directly opposite for water and anything else you might need. Es Cana is a lovely touristy town. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s very clean. The hippy market on Wednesdays is great. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is really nice, but we found the beach at Cala Nova to be better. 15 minute stroll away. Would we go to Es Cana again ? Possibly Would we stay at the Ereso again ? Possibly not, but it’s a cheap option compared to other hotels in the area and does give value for money. I hope the hotel does not make excuses about the criticism I’ve made below, but use it to improve the guests experience. F

"Mr and Mrs Maxi"

10.0

Just returned from another 14 night stay at the Ereso. As always we were not disappointed, everything about this hotel is first class. From check-in to rooms restaurant, bar, pool area we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. All the staff at this hotel work tirelessly to ensure your holiday is perfect. It's to easy to single out certain staff who you see most days, who are doing a fantastic job, but what about the staff you don't see often or at all who are also working tirelessly to make sure our holiday is perfect. A big thank you once again to everyone. Es cana itself is a beautiful little place and for me the only place to be is at the Ereso. Just like a lot of people, my wife and I will be returning again next year that says it all.

"Fantastic break away"

10.0

Returned yesterday from an 11 night stay at Ereso and really enjoyed my experience at the hotel. Spotlessly clean throughout and the staff could not do enough for you. My room was on the 6th floor overlooking the kitchen roof, however this was not an issue at all as you don’t spend that much time in your room anyway. Room was spacious, with a walk in shower and 2 single beds, as a solo traveller I only sleep in the one bed. Fantastic fridge and kettle provided in the room. I used the top pool as I prefer the walk in steps. Pool was refreshing as temperatures were pretty high during my stay. Always able to find a sun-bed, plenty to go around, but like any hotel there is always those few guests who are up at the crack of dawn to claim “their spot”. Restaurant was very well organised and the food for all meals was excellent, if you struggled there is clearly something wrong as some of the best all inclusive food I have experienced. All restaurant staff were very attentive and constantly clearing tables, they never stopped, so hard working. The resort of Es Cana is perfect for a solo traveler like myself as felt totally safe wondering off out by myself. Great supermarket opposite and the beach was about a 10 minute walk down the hill. Would I recommend and return, 100% without a doubt I will book again.
