Meliton Hotel

For the price you pay, this hotel is AMAZING!! My boyfriend and I stayed at Meliton hotel for 10 nights and we had the most INCREDIBLE holiday! The hotel is small but beautiful, with 2 lovely pools, a bar, restaurant, and a 15 minute walk to the beach (or 2 minute shuttle bus that picks you up from right outside the hotel). The staff are all so so friendly and welcoming and make the stay extra special. The bar staff always with a friendly face, and the cleaning staff are always busy keeping the place tidy. The staff in the mini market are also lovely, even if the shop is closed, they will open it for you! (The shop also has everything you could need). The reception staff are always there to help you book onto any trips you’d like to go on, rent a car (which we did), buy bus tickets (which we did) with a bus stop 10 minutes walk away which takes you directly to Rhodes itself! Karaoke night is a great laugh, and Greek night was SO fun! A special shoutout to Kostas, Sotiria, Milo who welcomed us everyday with a big smile, WE MISS YOU!!! Will 100% be going back❤️ (There are also cats everywhere which we loved!)

What a lovely run hotel.staff were brilliant.very clean hotel.food was outstanding for what you pay for .I would happily recommend this hotel can I also add the staff were lovely with my granddaughter and the Greek night was a lot of fun, karaoke was entertaining ❤️

Lovely hotel, very quiet with probably the nicest staff I’ve ever come across on a holiday. Ideally you really need to hire a car as the hotel is slightly on the remote side, but that said it’s what , for us , is one of its charms . Food can be a bit repetitive, but you won’t ever go hungry as it’s all served buffet style, desserts could be better, but all in all for the price we pay, it’s an absolute bargain

Some good, some bad. For somewhere billed as a quiet hotel this was one of the noisiest I've ever stayed in - the constant banging, flushing and gurgling from the wafer thin walls are one thing, but the loud groans and creaks from the bed are another. I will be fair and say that the earthquake we encountered on the first night may have damaged the frame to make those noises but it wasn't exactly quiet before. We'd asked for a twin (sisters) but got a double so it could have been twice the squeaks and rattles if we'd had two beds. The fridge was also making so much noise that we unplugged it after about two hours. The food is fine. It won't win awards but we both found enough to eat and enjoy. A group told us on our first day that they had spent hundreds eating out but they confessed they hadn't tried anything at the hotel and were put off by the lack of recognisable options - as if they couldn't at least identify bread and vegetables. There is a sausage thing on near constantly which isn't great but the large number of cats will happily take it off your hands. The roast chicken will not disappoint. There are lots of cats. Our room had a unique vantage point to watch kittens playing and these were one of the reasons we did not ask to change rooms. We also feared getting a room nearer the bar as whilst there was only entertainment on two nights it could still get a bit loud. The karaoke was near unbearable from the litany of women who thought they had the pipes of Celine Dion but the groaning pipework of the bathrooms had more tune. We considered the shower to be quite dangerous. It would deliver a boiling or freezing jet of water regardless of the settings it claimed. The poor bathmat would be wrung out repeatedly and the floor was always wet - at one point the shower could not be turned off and the flooding reached the bed. It was... interesting. The good. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive and appreciate when someone tries to speak Greek, with feedback given (if asked) about pronunciation. There are no fights for sunbeds or parasols and no-one will try to make you do any activities during the lounging hours. There are excursions available and I encourage you do some of them. We went on a wine tasting tour and also into Rhodes old town, which is truly beautiful. Beware the tourist scams though. We had a lovely time (noisy bed and death shower notwithstanding). The place has a few quirks that make no sense - such as no self-service soft drinks and coffee - but has a charm that makes it worthwhile. It's very laidback and has nothing around it. The shop is useful but not big and cash is preferred both there and at reception. Last thing - doors and locks. Both are in short supply for toilets. The pool toilets have no locks and the basement toilets have no doors. Most people used their own rooms for the toilet or had lookouts. We won't be back but only because there are other places to explore. We left with affection for the place and a warm hug from one of the staff. Give it a chance :)

The staff were excellent. I had conversations with the gentleman running the mini market, lovely guy. The hotel location is great for those that drive or looking for some alone time to get away from the world. Me and my husband stayed here, and enjoyed ourselves. The cook went out of his way for us as we are none pork eaters, and we were well fed :) the bar men are always on point and we had some great laughs and evening with them. Me and my husband enjoy walks and active holiday so was ideal and the staff went out of their way for us.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean the food was ok but not very much choice. The hotel was a 15 minute walk from anything but if you want a quiet relaxing holiday at a nice clean hotel with friendly staff this is the place for you.

Well we are at the airport after ten days at this hotel The good points 1 hotel is very clean 2 the staff are very friendly especially kostas and satirist that work the breakfast till 3,30 shift they are a credit very welcoming very professional thank you to the both of you The bad points 1 this hotel is very remote it’s a 20 min walk from reception to the main road and another 20 mins to find the first shop from reception to the beach witch is a little pebbled thing is 30 min walk without hiring a car has we had to do you are literally in the middle of nowhere 2 the food is the worst I have ever experienced in a all inclusive hotel I never had one meal were I didn’t have to heat it up in the microwave The desert choice every day was little pots of jelly and fruit cut up into pieces often gone brown I had to ask why there was no bread in the mornings for toss they said only every outer day terrible 3 never before have I been all inclusive were you cannot have a spirt drink until 4 pm only beer coffees and sort drinks till then 4 being so remote you would think they would have entertainment this is none excistant 5 it’s shame the hotel owners do not have there guest interest at heart like there staff do 6 please be aware if you are coming here you will defernatly need to hire a car or you will go stir crazy I am sorry the bad points seem a lot but it’s the truth value for money a big fat no

Well I really honestly don't know where to start I'm afraid ! First of all its more like a 2⭐️ . We understood it was only soft drinks , larger and local wine before 4pm but to then be told we couldn't even buy our own drinks was a shock to say the least ! When it is time to have a spirit it tastes very weak to say the least ! When 9pm comes then it's Cocktail hour 🤣 only 1 flavour of Cocktail so no choice what so ever ! And don't get me started on the "food" beans , like bullets , chips that looked like the day before, and some other stuff that looked awful to say the least ! The staff were ok the best person was " cheers me dears " behind the bar ! We had to move rooms because of a leak in the shower but then discovered a leak in that shower. We knew it was far from anything and thought the shuttle bus ran a few times per day but the only pick up from the beach was at 1pm so only 5 minutes after the last drop to the beach 🤔🤔 I hate to leave bad reviews but I felt the need to especially as you can't even purchase what you want to drink when on the only break you will probably get the whole year 😢
