Very basic hotel. Staff walked in on us while we were changing 10 mins before checkout. Wasn't really clean.

"Good VFM for Anchorage"

Good budget option for Anchorage. Merrill Field Inn is clean, comfortable, safe and friendly. The free shuttle on request to town, the airport or to your vehicle rental was appreciated. The cereal, muffins, toast and coffee buffet breakfast was also appreciated. The adjacent Rice Garden served reasonably priced, OK Chinese food. Wendy's was a 2 block walk and The Lucky Wishbone, an Anchorage chicken restaurant since 1955, is a 15 minutes walk, both safe to do.

It's not an attractive part of Anchorage. It's better if you have wheels or be prepared to walk.
