Pagoda Resort & Spa

Loved the buffet breakfast and the room was awesome. We accidentally left a passport in the room which we have been in contact about. Something happened so we were not able to pick it up when we said we would but we are able to stop by and grab the passport this weekend.

Room was spacious with a lot of different areas to hang out in (sofa with coffee table, dining table setup, plus a desk space). Bed was pleasingly firm. Full curtains to avoid morning sunlight. Reasonably well located, about 20 mins by car from the CBD or airport, and a short walk to a well-serviced bus route (to/from CBD and Fremantle). Short (5-10 mins) walk to 24/7 IGA supermarket and cafes/restaurants. Longish (20-30 mins) walk to Perth Zoo and South Perth/Mindeerup precinct. Room service and bar service portions were quite generous.

Left a note for housekeeping to only empty bins but they did a full service, including changing the way we like to arrange our bedding, which we were trying to avoid, so we ended up not getting housekeeping for the remainder of the stay and having to manage the bins ourselves. The shower was in the spa tub but there was no enclosure so the water sprayed around the bathroom, making the floor slippery. The toilet roll holder was really far from the toilet and the toilet paper was quite thin. Strangely, there's no additional exhaust fan. Unfortunately the windows don't open so there's only aircon air in the room.

Location was good with local eateries within easy walking distance. Standard room was generously sized.

Bed was so firm, like sleeping on a rock. I asked reception for an additional mattress topper pad and they provided that but it didn't really help. Some of the facilities are looking dated and could do with an upgrade.

Location, clean, comfortable bed & had all that we needed. Good restaurant. Staff helpful & always pleasant. Had 2 bdrm apartment which had plenty of room for our 5 night stay.

Couple of issues in 2nd bedroom. Water pressure in shower was very inconsistent & at times there was considerable noise rattling from water pipes which did keep us awake. We did mention this at reception. The lifts were very juddery, stopped between floors at one point before juddering down, bit scary. This was also passed on to reception. Maintenance issues.

Great location, close to shops and not far from the airport.

Nothing to not like. It's an older style Hotel that is well maintained and clean.

Great staff and comfortable room. Brilliant check in check out times.
