Grand Hotel de la Ville

An absolutely wonderful hotel. Spotlessly clean (we even saw a chambermaid cleaning between the rails of a balcony!) The gardens are so beautiful and serene and the flowers & plants well tended. Breakfast wasn’t a rushed affair and the waiters were extremely attentive. (A waiter even appeared with a tube of ‘AfterBite and applied it to some mosquito bites) The view from the rooftop swimming pool is breathtaking. We could have sat all day just looking at the view. This is most definitely one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and will certainly stay there again on our next visit to Sorrento.

Bar at pool closing too early at 6:30pm Breakfast not opening until 7 am caused us to rush through it for a few days to get to our scheduled tours. On departure day we had to skip breakfast because our taxi left at 6:45.

Close to Capri, supermarket, bus and taxi stops. The staff were excellent, great value for money :)

The beds were ok, but could be comfier.

Felt that the soundproofing should be better. Could hear anything in the hallway and next door. Also bathroom shower needs update tub so high to climb into, hardly any room. Also a constant whirring in bathroom, maybe a vent but loud and annoying.

Location is just a few blocks off the main square- good location off the beaten path a bit but still within 15-20 min walk of pretty much any where. We only used the restaurant for breakfast and it is fine…buffet style. Nothing special but was included in our rate so nice to get a quick cup of coffee. Although they do not have to go cups FYI. There are many more upscale and beautiful hotels in Sorrento but this was nice and very good value. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We did not spend much time at the hotel so it served the purpose very well.

Excelente ubicación . A pocas calles de la estación de buses y de la zona antigua y comercial . Personal muy amable . Habitación amplia . Nos dieron una habitación con vista lateral al mar sin recargo . Buen desayuno . Es perfecto.

Lo único q puede mejorar es la ducha q tiene poca presión y no es muy cómoda.

My husband and I just had the trip of a lifetime. We were so pleased to stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing. They really cared about us and went above and beyond in kindness and service, especially Fabio in Concergie. The hotel was so beautiful in every area and immaculate. We had the breakfast buffet and it was outstanding including a chef. We had a side ocean view room and it was fabulous. The views were, as our Italian guide said, "Mama Mia". God's creation is beyond words here. If we were ever able to go back to Italy we would stay at his hotel or any related to this group!!!!

Pres de 500 euros pour une chambre donnant sur des immeubles. Un service médiocre au restaurant...150 euros pour 2
