Grand Hotel de la Ville

It was well appointed, less than a ten minute walk from the main square so very convenient but in a quiet location. A beautifully decorated, destination hotel with impeccable staff who were both friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you. We ate in the outdoor restaurant and the bar and of course had breakfast, all made with good quality ingredients and were flavoursome and they didn’t skimp on anything. We used the pools and the rooftop bar, enjoyed the garden and our room was beautiful with good quality linens, a comfortable bed and pillows, a balcony with a magnificent view of Vesuvius. We didn’t have a single complaint.

This was our first time in Sorrento, and we are so glad we stayed here! The hotel is beautiful, and in a great location. Our rooms were spacious, and had wonderful sea views! The staff was friendly and professional. We enjoyed the bar, rooftop, and fabulous breakfast each morning!

Excellent emplacement et personnel adorable! La chambre double est spacieuse, propre et le lit est très confortable! Petit déjeuner copieux et personnel aux petits soins! Petit plus: le fameux restaurant Limonaia est juste en face, on a très bien mangé! Je recommande!

What a delightful hotel and a truly memorable stay from beginning to end. The location is perfect, right in the town centre and ideal for exploring the area. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a fantastic lobby that creates a wonderful first impression, and check-in was smooth, efficient, and welcoming. Our room was spotless, extremely well presented, and the marble floor tiling throughout the hotel added a real touch of elegance. We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the hotel several times during our stay, and every meal was delicious and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of options including an egg station, and the added touch of a glass of prosecco available in the morning was much appreciated, especially on our final day :-) The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering stunning panoramic views, particularly of Mount Vesuvius and the sunset. It was the perfect place to relax in the evening. What really made the stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Every member of the hotel was polite, attentive, and professional throughout. Special mention must go to Samule in the restaurant and Dino behind the bar, both of whom provided wonderful service and made us feel incredibly welcome. My father even said it was the best hotel he has ever stayed in, which says everything. Speaking with other guests, many had returned multiple times already and after our experience, we can completely understand why. We would happily return ourselves and highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay.

Our group of 10 stayed here for a week, and we loved it. The location is great…walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the marina. We had a variety of rooms, and all were pristine. Ours had a sea view. Comfy beds, large fluffy towels, a cute balcony, traditional decor. The staff were terrific. Dino in the bar was fantastic. The rooftop pool deck was a great place to have a drink. The only negative is that that pool was freezing in May. The garden pool was a bit warmer. Breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold items, and an egg station. When we had an early morning tour booked they even packed us a take away breakfast. Highly recommend!
