Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort South Beach

The initial room we received was extremely dirty. Floor, glass on sliding door and bathroom. Black mold on the ceiling. Not a little bit. Not Friendly at the customer service desk. All pools extremely cloudy. With floating film in corners. No tiki bar open. No restaurant open.

In my honest opinion, my stay at the Sandcastle Resort was nice. When I got there, I seen a long line of customers checking in with only one attendant helping. There were 2 other guys that came out to look around, but they didn't lend a hand to the one receptionist who probably could've used the help. I ended up waiting to check in for 25-30 minutes. I know he wasn't the manager, the manager should have stepped in. Isn't that what customer service is about? However, the receptionist was really nice and patient. I don't remember his name but he's the smaller framed one. The only other things I have to say about my stay there is, there was no curtain in the bathroom for the shower. I don't know if that's normal at this property but any other hotel I've stayed in has shower curtains. Also the floor didn't really look like it was swept that well. I brought my slippers just in case. The kitchen wasn't open so if you needed cutlery or plates you had to get your own from the store. Other than that, I loved the pool and of course we enjoyed the beach. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Staff was non existant and completely unhelpful and quite rude when someone was there to speak to you.

Front desk staff was friendly, bed was comfortable. We had a basic king size bed, oceanfront and any time someone used the shower water was coming out from under the flooring by the door and in the bathroom. Seriously needs upgrades.

We had a fun experience but the room was dirty and gross. hair was all over bathroom, and floors are dirty

When we arrived the staff at the front were not accommodating and seemed to know nothing about the property. The phone in our room didn’t work to call down to front office. The floor was full of sand that seemed to just be pushed around the whole place. When we went to bed we noticed a lot of water stains on the ceiling and one had black around it. We left the very next day. This place if filthy and unsafe to stay in. I tried calling the health dept and they said there is nothing they can do about mold.

Facilities are great but what really messes them up is the people and their systems

Very outdated and not clean staff is stingy with towels and wash clothes which was dirty anyway definitely wouldn’t do it again the location was nice but there are a ton on that strip that could be better

The room was nasty. NO Wi-Fi and of course NO ONE could figure out the issue. Front desk staff was NOT helpful at all. I stayed there years ago and it was great. Idk what has happened but it is horrible and it definitely needs ALOT of repairs. The stove was dirty paint was chipping from the walls. Just horrible. Never again!!!

Where to start. We arrived a little early and was to check in a hour early would cost me 25.00 even though the room was ready. Neither pool was open. Ice cream shop was closed our whole stay. Had to bring dirty towels to front desk in order to get clean one. Key card was Des Tudor no apparent reason.the balcony door wouldn’t lock. No utensils for the kitchen. So many things wrong here very bad experience
