Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel and Villas

We stayed at Cork's Vienna Woods for 1 night and really enjoyed the visit. The building and surrounding area is historical and very beautiful, we liked the beautiful interiors dating back to the beginning of 20th century. Breakfast is tasty with great choice of hot and cold dishes. You can also ask at the reception to print out the history of the building. and have a look at the beautifully decorated halls on the ground floor. Regarding the room, we had comfortable rooms. I would mention only one thing, we didn't like: the slippers are not provided, which is normally so in 4* hotels, even if not in room, but upon request. Here the slippers are provided for extra charge of 10euro, it's really not worth it, but would make our stay a bit more comfortable. All in all would recommend the hotel, just take your slippers with you :)

Historic style hotel that’s not a cooky cutter style. Unique throwback.

Stunning Hotel inside and out. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful. We went to a family wedding at the venue and stayed the night in an extremely spacious family room. The decor is beautiful throughout and so clean. The communal areas are so pretty and constantly tidied. The wedding was seamless and the attention to detail outstanding. The food was fantastic and plentiful, I will be visiting again when I come to Cork to see family.

Lovely hote clean and bright the grounds sre nice and peacefull . Rhe staff are very nice & friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I am returning in December

Nice, quaint hotel with a restaurant and bar. Very nice lounge area where our tour group was able to relax and chat and order pizza. It has outdoor tables in a beautiful setting overlooking a stream and forest.

We booked an overnight stay with dinner for my parents who had their wedding reception at the hotel 60 years ago (to the day!). My parents were delighted with every aspect of their stay, particularly when staff made them feel special, along with taking good care of them. Thank you Vienna Woods staff for adding a special memory to my parents 60th wedding anniversary day.

No shower gel in bathroom. Loads of body lotion and shampoo. No information in room about hotel and facilities. No instructions about tv. Poor selection of team and coffees. A la carte restaurant very disappointing. Mediocre food. Maitre de very welcoming. Rest of staff lack lustre. Quality of food poor didn't reflect the cost. I had lamb kofta. One flatbread dry and hard. Lamb dry. Husbands curry was shocking. Poppadoms was soft and just inedible. The whole experience has been disappointing. Thankfully no breakfast included.

Everything was perfect 😊 from start to finish, hotel surroundings, outdoor area on a beautiful day, amazing staff and plenty of them. I would highly recommend the Vienna Woods for your stay or a wedding💒👰‍♂️🤵

This hotel markets itself as being dog friendly, I would describe it as being barely tolerant of dogs. We paid 30 euros a night for our dog to stay with us and for this we received a dog bed that had not been washed since the last dog used it and two dog bowls. On check in we were told that dogs were not allowed in the dining room or to be left in the room alone whilst we ate. We could eat breakfast in the lobby with the dog or order room service at 10 euros a tray. Reception staff suggested that we eat separately! In the end we put the dog in the car at breakfast time. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening because of their policy on dogs. I have complained directly to the hotel and have been given an apology and told that dogs are allowed in the room whilst owners are on the premises! Obviously a staff training issue. No refund or compensation has been offered for the inconvenience or misinformation given by the staff. The hotel itself is beautiful but the staff are offhand and inattentive.

The staff was wonderful. I cannot remember the name of the one woman working the front desk but she was so welcoming to our 2 year old (Finn) and each morning of our stay he was excited to go down and talk to her. Made the stay that much better! Thanks
