Beautiful setting and wonderful pub/hotel Rooms are all very nice and comfortable. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superb!! Will be back again next year.

The accommodation

Very helpful on arrival. Room - yes it was the least expensive of those on offer, but pretty small. However, the bed was comfy and had a decent night's sleep. Food in restaurant was absolutely fine and decent beer.

No facility at all to hang anything up. Also there was a constant rumbling noise going on for hours which I think was a tumble drier downstairs. Very annoying. Just a note: I arrived by motorbike. The car park is gravel - rounded pebbles. Not the best surface to ride a bike on so beware.

Nice quiet location. The restaurant food is good (locals recommend it). Nice place to sit outside for a drink.

Well, it’s a pub with the rooms above the bar or kitchen. So if you like to drink until closing time and go up to bed it’s probably fine, otherwise you’ve got the sounds of the bar or kitchen coming up from below as you retire to bed. There’s not much they can do about that, but kitchen staff shouting their farewells to each other as they leave didn’t help. The restaurant is pleasant, with an interesting menu, but the staff can be inattentive. We had to go and interrupt a waitress drying up cutlery in the corner of the room to get her attention. We were the only couple in the place at that point, so there wasn’t really an excuse for not checking up on us.
