Hotel Acosta

It's pretty basic. No lift. Rooms are dated and scruffy but clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is located one block down from plaza de armaz, very central. It is however, extremely noisy, literally all night long next to a busy road. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle to sleep and / or wake up in the night. If you can put up with the noise and don't want to spend too much money, this will work for you. I'd recommend Victoria Regia as an alternative.

The staff at Hotel Acosta were exceptional. From the first day we entered the hotel lobby we were treated as honored guests. The desk staff, the breakfast staff and the cleaning staff were all open, friendly and willing to help in any way we requested. The last night we were there we requested a recommendation from the desk clerk for hotel for the next night in Lima. She said would see what she could do. We left for dinner and when we returned she had reserved a room for us in a very nice hotel in Lima. Very happy with the hotel.

Very clean place, no thrills, but everything works, including the A/C in the room. I liked to have a safe in my room. Breakfast is healthy and abundant, service is superb, Safe and with good advise from the staff about getting around the city. Location is almost good, close to the main plaza but not too close.

Visited in 2005. This was a nice Hotel on a quiet street and walking distance from the Plaza des Armas. Rooms were clean and comfortable and service friendly staff. Recommended for the budget traveller.

The staff are friendly, and the hotel close to the CBD. Sadly, this hotel has seen better days. The bed was firm (we liked) and the bathroom very old and tireed. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the aircon was noisy (but effective). Even with the doors closed, the noise from the local passing traffic is excessively loud. The breakfast was simple and basic (we liked). We're sure there are better options.

We spent 3 nights in total in this hotel.Staff was very helpful, rooms quiet and clean. We had to leave one of our bags for 5 days, as we had booked a trip into the jungle and they were happy to help and store our stuff. Buffet breakfast was very good and waiters always ready to help. All rooms are equipped with air-condition!! For the price I'd say it was the best hotel and would definitely go back there, when I have another opportunity to come to Iquitos.

We had a great stay in Hotel Acosta. It is definitely one of the nicer hotels in Iquitos, and it was clean, comfortable, accommodating, and very safe. Airport transfer was available, but only for certain flights. Make sure you book on HostelWorld because the price per night is significantly cheaper than if you were to book through their actual website or if you walked in.

This hotel is very modern looking. Our room was beautiful. Very clean washroom and beautiful overlooking balcony. Unfortunately it was very loud due to street cars. Perhaps we should have requested a room change but it didn't affect our overall experience too much. Breakfast was very accommodating with fresh fruits and smoothies. The staff even went out of their way to make us eggs. AC was very refreshing and nice. Location is about a 8 minute walk from plaza de armas.
