The Lodge at Bodega Bay

Beautiful room with a view. Senic location, great hot tub!

Stayed in the Brown Pelican room for 3 nights, it was lovely. Nice view of the marsh area and Bodega Head when the fog subsided. Close to the pool/hot tub/firepit/workout and massage area and we were grateful it was open late to enjoy, even in the rain. The room had a fireplace and whenever we needed more logs, they were brought right away. The staff was always friendly and happy to provide recommendations. Shout out to Joseph for the best massages.

The room was fabulous. Cozy fireplace, terrific views and the bed was beyond comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the fire pits for evening cocktails. The staff was warm and super attentive. We felt like we were miles away from reality and that is what a great hotel creates when they spend the time being attentive to every detail.

We had the most wonderful quick getaway at The Lodge at Bodega Bay. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we needed. The rooms were amazing: spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to those stunning coastal views was truly the highlight. The scenery alone makes this place special; it’s the kind of view that instantly slows you down and helps you breathe a little deeper. Dining at Drakes Sonoma Coast was superb. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere perfectly matched the coastal charm of the lodge. It made the stay feel even more elevated and memorable. Another bonus is the location! It’s conveniently close to Fishetarian Fish Market, which is perfect if you’re craving fresh seafood in a more casual setting. Overall, this was the perfect coastal escape // relaxing, scenic, and beautifully done. We can’t wait to return.

This property & staff always delivers. We celebrated our anniversary at the lodge and there was a welcome note and bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the views of the ocean are very special. We always enjoy the spa and the grounds. It's a truly relaxing stay and one we enjoy every time.

Location is awesome and the staff is excellent

The food at Drakes was good but not great

First stay at The Lodge at Bodega Bay. My wife and I will certainly be back. We've seen the lodge on previous visits and had dinner at Drakes, but actually staying there greatly elevated our opinion. We stayed in an upstairs room (212) which had a beautiful view. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. I found the bed to be a tad on the firm side, but I'm a fan of soft mattresses. The room had all the amenities one would expect - a coffee machine, refrigerator, iron & ironing board, and hair dryer. No safe, but Bodega Bay doesn't really strike one as a high crime area. We didn't fire up the wood-burning fireplace, but it looked lovely. There was some speculation we heard from the staff that eventually the wood-burning fireplaces might be replaced with gas fireplaces at some point in the future. The whole lodge is very tastefully decorated. The vibe (to use the current terminology) is elegant and relaxing. It being February, we didn't bring our swim suits, but both the small pool and the infinity-edge hot tub were being used by other guests, and looked very inviting. Also inviting is the fire pit in the pool area. Drakes restaurant deserves its own review, but I'll say briefly that the food and the service were both great. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Drakes, and enjoyed everything we had.
