"Peaceful Getaway"

We came to the Lodge at Bodega Bay to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a great weekend. The room and location were exceptional! We lit a fire each evening in our fireplace. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from our upper balcony. We found the experience absolutely peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend it.

"Flawless again"

We come here two or three times a year and always have a flawless getaway. From the moment we arrive to getting in the car to return we feel relaxed and spoiled. We know almost every employee by name and feel like every interaction is about relationships not just a transaction.

"Unwind in a real way"

We stayed at The Lodge at Bodega Bay back in April 2025. We kept talking about going back and finally got to go back November 2025. What made us want to go back is how The Lodge at Bodega Bay allowed us to relax, reset, and connect. The lodge has a special feel of serenity that allows us to unwind in a real way. Our deck had a great view of Bodega Bay, the Pacific Ocean, Bodega Head, plus all the birds. We got to watch a beautiful sunset from our deck, and we watched Bodega Bay come to life in the morning. Dinner at Drakes was delicious and relaxing.

"Great Potential, But Not a #1 Hotel Experience"

I was excited to stay at this property after seeing so many “#1 in California” reviews, but my experience fell short of that standard. Check-in felt rushed and transactional, with no mention of upgrade options. Our room had a great view, but several issues—no AC, a dirty bathmat, and a fireplace that filled the room with smoke even when following the instructions—made the first night uncomfortable and disappointing. The team did adjust my bill the next morning, which I appreciated. The setting is beautiful and the potential is there, but the hospitality and room quality didn’t match the hotel’s reputation.

"A Lovely Stay"

This is a wonderful place where I have stayed with my husband before. The previous room was definitely a 5 star room but this time I am not sure if it had to do with the way I booked our stay. I booked it for my husband’s birthday. The discounted price was not cheap, the room showed signs of wear, especially on the fire place. It looked like someone went at it with a sharp object. The shower pressure was also lacking. In the end my husband had a great sleep and Bodega Bay is a wonderful lodge.
