I chose this as it was central to the attractions we wanted to go and do. However, usually i book holiday inn express at trafford city and i've never been disappointed. Then again that was pre covid 19. This time it was a whole different experience and breakfast was grab and go and the hospitality atmosphere was missing. However, we didnt let this dampen our days and nights at Holiday Inn, we still did lots and enjoyed our stay.
After a long 4hrs trip from London to Manchester arriving at night, all we needed was a nice bath and relaxation but turned out to be opposite😩😨. The car park was not free as stated on there website, our hotel room was not cleaned after the previous guests before us (dirty everywhere and used bed). We were moved to another room with two single beds resulting to myself and partner sleeping apart, in the morning we noticed the the shower was not working and all we got was complimentary breakfast and wine. We went out to the main reasons we came to Manchester only to returned at night, discovered hotel management entered my room removing some of my properties to the reception and the others still in the room. We walked back to the reception for the suitcase back to the room only to discover my phone charger missing and had to go back again for it😡. They spoilt my trip and left me embarrassed considering the facts I had lots of sexual stuffs in my room, the staff had no right entering my room in my absence as it was booked for two nights. I will not recommend this hotel to a Dog 🐕
Hotel was fine for a few nights. Was in room 7 - right next to reception. If I hadn't been rushing for work, would have tried to move room. Was averagely clean, though the bottom of the bathroom door was warped indicating a historic leak or flood. Was also given the wrong invoice on departure. When booking, I weighed up a more conveniently located Travelodge with this hotel and here; next time I might consider staying there instead, as this hotel isn't reflective of the 'premium' Holiday Inn brand. Then again, at £60p/n, It's not too bad.
Hotel good.food service in room only.Due to covid restrictions .Food reasonable but a bit expensive for what was takeaway food really.
Nothing particularly special - tired and run down - felt like somewhere just to put a head down if on the road and not much more. Certainly not luxurious in any way shape or form
Despite complaining about the lack of cleanliness - nothing was done. I had to put towels down to walk on the badly stained carpet. The safety chain had been ripped off the door - i felt neither safe nor comfortable - and as for the food :(
I liked the fact that I had free parking and was easy reach to tram station
Limited menu in the restaurant during the evening, with very slow service. Rooms are a little tired. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
No problems here, clean, warm, good breakfast, friendly staff and just where I needed to be location wise. Will definitely come back again soon
