Bluegreen Vacations Harbour Lights, an Ascend Collection Resort

I didn't like the fact we were bump down to hotel room when we paid for a 1 bed villa We were told by an late email after arriving that our room was declined by the host property some took it upon themselves to not call us with adequate warning that they took our debit card and rebook us in a hotel style room that's credit card fraud I spoke to choice Hilton and blue emplyeees while there no one wanted to take responsibility for fefrauding us everyone was uncaring ruined our anniversary vacation still waiting on a call from marketing no call as of yet I've contacted THE FTC GEDERAL TRADE COMMMOSFION ON THIS MATTER WILL BE SUEING

I would have given zero star rating if that option is available. Main reason for this rating is the behavior of one of their staff members. We purchased bluegreen vacation and HGV deeds (total: ~ 25,000 USD). Their local HGV agent wanted us to purchase more so that he can get more commission. We refused as we didn’t need that or want that at the moment. Then, the agent behaved super super super rude and we ended our so called consultation session very very very abruptly. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER and we are valued members already.. I don’t recall the name of the local HGV agent but I’m sure it is easy to figure it out by manager if they want to improve on their customer service. I would never visit their hotel and would give my worst possible recommendation ever.

The hotel/resort was very family friendly. They had a lot of great activities for the kids and the pools were clean and nice. While our room was exactly what we needed as a family of 4, it was slightly run down and outdated. Appliances ver still dirty and things were generally just old. The drawers of thw dressers didn't close and the sliding glass door took an act of God to open and shut. Overall it was fine and met our needs. It was a good location and reasonably priced. I was disappointed to have to pay an unexpected resort fee when we checked in. $200 extra dollars that was not disclosed to us upon booking.

WiFi sketch and unreliable. Lots of maintenance issues with infrastructure. Checking in was very crowded and slow. Here’s hoping that the Hilton transfer will fix many of these problems.

The staff went out of their way to make our family comfortable. They were gracious and kind. Our one bedroom place was well-maintained The pools were beautiful!
