Skamania Lodge

It is a very nice facility. Huge potential. The rustic look and the stonework fits well in the common areas. However, the facilities carpet smells and the stairways to get to and from the lobby need some freshening up. The finishes are looking dated. The restaurants and bar and outdoor areas are excellent. The outdoor hot tub needs work as well. The concrete joints all need to be repacked and the jets should definitely be replaced. The staff are amazing, the service is exemplary but you guys really need to invest some money into a renovation and bring the finishes up to date. The fitness center will work for 90% of people. Its a bit small and needs less cardio equipment and heavier dumbbells. A squat rack wouldn't hurt either. Not sure if its routine to have rooms inspected but it is horrible when your bathroom fan is broken and doesn't work.

The facility and location are iconic.

The host staff at the restaurant put a dark cloud on the stay. We waited patiently (an hour!) for a table. Their effort to inform us was not to hospitality standard and when we inquired, we were treated as a problem not a valued patron. It left us thinking that the staff just thinks the guests are tourists to deal with. Sad. I probably won’t stay here again because of that.

You can't find a better place to stay in the Gorge. A truly spectacular setting and grounds. The views are hard to believe. Sunset and sunrise are especially wonderful. The staff is superb, totally committed to your care.

Clean rooms. Beautiful view.

Dining prices were stupidly expensive. Coffee was terrible. Rooms have only one chair. Difficult for two people to use. Pillows left my wife and I with sore necks.

We have enjoyed Skamania Lodge as a getaway for couples and our family for many years. Nice place that seems to go through good/bad service cycles. The spa experience for me was not exceptional, a "meh" massage. Pool guard in the evening was outright rude. The rest of the staff was welcoming. Restaurant staff was exceptional this trip.

It was a fantastic experience all the way around! Beautiful grounds with amazing events. I stayed for a work rewards/team building trip. I hiked, rafted, zip lined and made S'mores at the fire pits. All of it was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend. :)
