The Carlton Hotel

I liked the fact that it had a car park.

The hotel was very tired, and very dirty. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived, I had no other option but to stay there. I regret it though.

Amazing location. Beautiful views. Easy access to beach and town. Friendly staff. Breakfast was adequate.

The bed in the “comfort room” (109) was extremely sunken on one side. Room was not clean at all. Carpets tacky. Grim bathroom. Even the one toilet roll provided was wet! Would have had a lovely sea view if you could see through the windows. I wouldn’t recommend this room for a good night sleep. All the noise going on throughout the night from the front door floated up and through the window. Party going on till about 2am downstairs with very loud music. You get what you pay for , so I’ve learnt a lesson.

The absolute worst place I have ever been in. Dirty and terrible. Staff doesn’t change towels, linen or clean anything. Food was abysmal, so much so that we ate elsewhere despite having paid the breakfast in the hotel. Avoid this terrible place at all costs.

Our room was nothing like the rooms on their advertising site. It was filthy and the staff were very rude. There was people drinking and smoking stuff under our window until 1am. They werent even residents. One of our windows wouldnt close properly so we could hear and smell everything. When we spoke to a member of staff he just swore at us and called us names. The kettle didnt reach the plug where it was so we had to move it a chair 🤷‍♀️ The carpet was sticky. The bathroom was disgusting. The door wouldnt shut and there was a little slope just under the door that I slipped down. There was no warning sign for it. There was also a big downpipe in their that was noisy when anyone flushed in one of the other rooms.

Prijs was in verhouding met wat je kreeg vond ik, je kunt geen 5 sterren verwachten voor dat bedrag. Het ontbijt was karig maar er was voldoende. Ondanks de warmte voelde de kamer niet echt warm aan ( begane grond) Als je het hotel uitliep kon je zo ( na een flinke afdaling( naar zee, heerlijk.

Vers fruit, ieder 2 handdoeken in plaats van 1 per persoon en er kon nog veel meer beter gedaan worden maar niet voor die prijs lijkt mij eerlijk gezegd

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. The cleanliness was an absolute disaster. Everything was old, worn out, and looked like it was falling apart. The windows were covered in mould and were filthy. The bed was in terrible condition, with torn bed sheets.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos advertised online. The pictures are completely misleading. What you see online and what you find when you arrive are two completely different things. The room was horrible, unhygienic, and not acceptable for paying guests.
