Guests highly rate the quiet environment and frequently praise the convenient for short stays.
good hotel, liked it. got a much better price by making reservation online.
Excellent and quiet room. Staff was outstanding. Helped in getting me the required tours of Uxmal. Always helpful with directions. Outstanding breakfast. Am looking forward to a return, perhaps in November. ---david coxwell
Comfort and friendliness. Staff was eager and ready to render service.
We traveled every day, and could easily walk to bus stations from the hotel or catch a taxi or bus in front of the hotel. The pool was disappointing, but in every other way the hotel was great
Excellent quiet location, close to all, walking distance to park and zoo. Excellent restaurant if you like the native food. Hotel is clean and cosy ; a place I always stay when visiting family and friends in Merida
Visited; a Mayan Temple, downtown, city tour, and Progreso ocean beach. Better than Puerto Escondido.
This hotel has basic amenities and friendly staff. The room was clean but missing refrigerator and safety box. On the plus side there is free wireless internet access and the hotel is well situated.
Very nice service. Not the best location but not far from the "Centro". We had nothing to complain about. Learn to use the buses (autobus), well worth it. We really enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Residencial. It was clean, comfortable and everything worked okay. The food was good at the restaurant with average prices. The people at the 24 hour lobby office spoke fairly good English. It is situated in an older neighborhood part of town with quite a bit of traffic. The Central Park and the Zoo are both many blocks away in opposite directions from the hotel. For $50 a night (Nov.2010) I would go back again.
Overall our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The price was perfect, the location was eight blocks from the zocalo. We did have some noisy neighbors over the weekend but that could happen anywhere. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean place on a bargain budget. The ambiance of the hotel is wonderful, the staff very helpful with all our needs. Breakfast was good at the hotel but dinner was atrocious. Again it could be what I ordered.
