Hilton Garden Inn Kent Island Marina

I chose the Garden Inn Kent Island because I’ve passed it many times and thought it looked like a nice place to stay. I finally had the opportunity and took it. I should have read the reviews more carefully. The rooms are clean and comfortable. As a Diamond member, I received an “upgrade” to a suite overlooking the bay—lucky me! Unfortunately, that meant the southwest corner directly facing The Jetty Restaurant, which has live bands on weekends. I didn’t know this when booking or checking in. Check-in was slow, even though I had checked in online. The staff member seemed either brand new or completely over it. When I asked about the restaurant'ssse hours, he said the chef probably didn’t show up. He was right—no food service that night. Later, the live music started. I called the front desk and was told the band plays until around 1 a.m.—every weekend. So much for a quiet night. Earplugs weren’t readily available, but I was offered a white noise machine instead. Between the closed restaurant, disinterested staff, and nightclub-level noise in my “upgraded” room, this property fell short on every front that matters to travelers: service, amenities, and rest. The view is lovely, but I’d trade it for a decent meal and a good night’s sleep any day. I have a video to load but it won’t let me load a video.

Front desk clerk Raye (spelling?) Was exceptional. Greeted you immediately on arrival. Helped me secure a nice "waterfront" room. Was training someone new, but that didn't slow down our check-in process. Made sure we knew where everything was and all the details for dining.

very loud restaurant bar that goes on until 1:30 in the morning, the staff was ambivalent about the noise and did not have any solutions or suggestions. we should have been told before we ever reserved the room

Would have been nice that breakfast was included for the price we paid. The pool was too cold

We were put in a handicap room, we are not handicapped. The bed was terrible , a hard mattress on a platform. We didn’t sleep well. Not a Marriott mattress for sure!

Lobby furniture was dingy

The location and facility is terrific. My professional music gigs bring us to Annapolis several times a year, and we find Kent Narrows to be a nice vacation spot after my gigs. Please keep your pricing reasonable and breakfast. I often will shop pricing between the Hilton , Hyatt and Holiday Inn. We enjoy the balcony and marina / bay view!

Location and staff was freat

There was long hair in the shower prior to using it. Need to improve on cleaning bathroom

I bought the booking.com travel insurance. It said it protected me for cancellation up until October 9. I tried to cancel on October 9 and it said on the website that I could not. I was extremely disappointed and felt bamboozled. So I went on the trip anyway by myself. Thanks booking dot com.
