Hotel Merkur Interlaken

This is one of the best hotels in Interlaken West. Close to everything. Staff were great. Breakfast is not too bad.

The room was very small, and so was the bathroom. Not worth the price. But I guess this is Switzerland.

The staff were top notch, and very helpful. Loved that it was across from the train station. The breakfast was perfect.

I understand they did not advertise they don’t have AC but this place definitely needs AC.

Awesome and comfy place to stay.

The first is definitely the location. Extremely convenient to go around town as its right opposite the West station and bus stand. Its right opposite the river and the thun lake is also around. The rooms were clean and functional. Good breakfast on the lovely terrace. Love the views of the mountains and para gliders swimming in the clouds. Book this hotel before it sells out!

This hotel is excellently located across the road from the station which is fabulous when you’re travelling. Staff at the front desk are all amazing and incredibly helpful, and made us feel so welcome. A small self service bar on the ground floor offers tea and coffee and you could buy drinks and snacks. The room was mid range but comfortable. Very clean. Ours was an orange decor which did no favours to the room, I peeked into another room which was blue and it looked so much nicer! :-). The rooms are not air conditioned, it was not too hot during our stay, but this may be an issue in the middle of summer. There was, however, a ceiling fan and this was appreciated. The location is great and an easy walk to Interlaken Ost. Being opposite the train and bus station was fantastic. The hotel provided an Interlaken card which provided free public transport and discounts off attractions, so if you have no Swiss Travel Pass (ours ran out during our stay), this is a great benefit. Breakfast was fabulous, and the lady in the breakfast room delightful. Given the high price of hotels in Switzerland this hotel represented great value for money.

Good location. Basic room but we were only there one night. Directly opposite one of the railway stations in Interlaken.

Best location and , rooms are very and best hotel I have been . Hotel staff Joana was very friendly and helpful. Other staff as well very friendly and helpful . I highly recommended this hotel .

This was one of the better hotels that I’ve stayed at in Europe. Marcel, the front desk manager was excellent, so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and an all around great guy.
